Some things are better experienced in books. In this case, background of both men and art would probably be better where it can be fully examined; e.g., in a book. It is not a story of military actions and those of you who like blood and gore will probably be disappointed. Those who enjoys fine arts will find the book a must.

Hi Guys,

I have read the book and while the story was interesting I found it choppy with a little too much jumping around to make the story flow, it was a very interesting story and worth a read.

Watched the GW movie a few weeks ago and thought it was very well done and would put it up there with 'Das Boot' and the 'Stalingrad' movie's from the early 90's or when ever they were produced.
