Hullo There,

While Andy was Stateside I’ve been working on some diorama pieces for our new Moscow dealer…..Here’s the first one they requested….plus three different set ups with some varied vehicles and figures. Hope you like them.

And have a happy weekend!

Gordon C.

P.S. “Muddy Tracks”….Nice work on the mud Alex…I bet you that tank could even go in a scene with some K&C “Russkies”…!

Heck Yes, Great Looking Dio. Nice size and easy to display as far as size is concerned.....Love it !

Gentle Friends,

As you can readily see, I have removed some tense posts. Let us enjoy Gordon's diorama without needless and personal conflicts.

Firebat and The Military Workshop have been excused from this discussion.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

Could somebody answer this good question please ?

They appear to be new figures...The German soldier on the far right of the picture appears to be smoking a cigarette...So i would say yes...
I have never seen these before...They look good...especially the one smoking , would look good in an advancing column diorama...

Joe mate,
I think you are correct and going by the last six months Old Wehrmacht releases we are due soon for some more. IMO.
If you look at the release numbers you will see that WS200 to WS203 (4 figures) Classic Germans were released in Sept 2012, then you have five missing numbers (204 to 208) followed by WS209 the 222 "Grey" Armoured Car. WS210 is also not released but then WS211 to WS215 (5 figures) also Classic Germans were released in Nov. 2012 followed by WS216 the "Grey" Tiger.
From this IMO I can deduce that there are 6 missing numbers in that total run of Classic Germans and "grey" AFVs which "could" mean 6 more figures to be released in "say" Sep-Oct 2013. Just deduction but only time and young Andy will tell how far out I am.^&grin^&grin
Cheers Howard

PS Gordon mate, Bloody outstanding Dio as per usual.:smile2:

Very nice work, it's always too see your work Gordon. Some day I would like to own one. Thanks Ron {bravo}}{sm4}

Honestly, I wouldn' t like to have any of those dios at home: all are too crowded, irrealistic, colors too bright. A bridge on the mountains? KC love this kind as they have already made a lot in this style....But sorry, most bridges are on a plain with water under them.....

Poppo...

when you build dio's you inevitably find a formula that works and some designs which you think work and that you adapt to over time. This does look like some that have been done before but, when you are asked to do something specific for a collector that is what you have to do you can add bits but, at the end of the day its their choice. Its hard often to recreate what a customer wants in their minds eye.

Again, and I have had this myself recently when people post diorama's etc they are putting significant work etc into the scene and, should be supported there is room for constructive comment if they ask for it or, it should be done with tact and better in PM as you just don't know how someone will react to their work which they may see as a master piece but, others don't will react.

Many of your early attempts at dio's and repaints were not met with derision and were actually praised for having a go so, perhaps you should elaborate on your comments to offer constructive input than its just a bag.
Mitch
