“Why Answer Back…or…Fifty Shades of Feldgrau” (1 Viewer)

Andy and Mitch seem to have the same taste in toy soldiers. Isn't nice to see them play the game of "Show me yours and I'll show you mine" ^&grin Much better than throwing darts at each other and of much more interest to us collectors. Who knows - this thread could break out into a discussion of grey AFVs. {eek3}

A few things that I would like to add here. First off awesome picture of all of those King&Country releases in Field Grey !!!! Look at how good those vehicles and figures do look together.
Secondly for me it is always good to hear from Andy interacting with us here on the forum. When K&C receives negative criticism does Andy not have the right to reply back and counter
to any comments made as we all do ourselves here on this wonderful forum ? Thirdly, enough of our negative critics............See you all in person in a meager 17 days at the wonderful
Texas Toy Soldier Show......................^&grin

Is that a new prime mover in the background ? Would nice if we could get back to talking about toy soldiers and when were going to see some more RAF stuff to be fair :smile2:

Nice One Brett even when I say nice things about KC you can't help but have a dig , maybe you got to much time on your hands to reply to everyone post , wish I had the time in my job to seat on the pc reading old post and replying to them all day long :wink2:

been doing some painting for people today in between lazing in my garden so, here is what I have on shelves in my work room available to take some snaps of (the rest is in my converted loft)

Grey on the move!!!
Mitch

Very nice collection Mitch old bean ^&cool

Hi Guys,

Over the weekend I saw that one of my recent posts “…And Another Thing” was deleted…Oh well I thought life’s like that sometimes…Some days you eat the bear…Other days the bear eats you!

I then thought about writing back and trying to explain why I have the temerity to sometimes “answer back” to some of my more voluble critics…Then I thought, “Nah, that would take too long and besides they would still insist that they had the final wordno matter what I said…how I said it or who I might be talking to!

Finally, I decided to send you a photo of some of our “recent rubbish”, as one young Forum member delicately put it plus a selection of older pieces another pan internet “bravo” describes as “over-priced junk” .

You make up your own minds on who is talking through a hole in their head and who is just trying to make toy soldiers…fighting vehicles and other bits ‘n’ bobs that most collectors might just enjoy and…have lots of fun with.

All the best and happy collecting!

Andy C.
P.S. And this is not even all of our “Feldgrau” vehicles. Can you spot which ones are missing?

Hey Andy,

Cool pic, what a terrific group of grey armour and support vehicles. ^&cool As for comments across the forums, there will always be some who like and some who don't, but when it comes down to brass tacks you cannot please everyone all the time, so just keep doing what you're doing as judging by the comments just on this thread re your grey AFV's you are obviously doing something right!

Cheers mate

Rob

I third that motion. A Grey Panzer III would be quite popular.....................IMO :salute::

That is an awesome display of grey! K&C sure do make an awesome array of pieces to be collected over time to be sure. I"ve even got a select few. For the record however I prefer the various German camouflage pieces as I think they are more visually interesting and appealing. While the current tide that prevails is grey I am hopeful it will abate soon and we see some more German camouflage soldiers and AFV/vehicular pieces. I do recall K&C saying camouflage outsells grey by a healthy margin, I wonder if that is still the case. :confused:

CFM ,

I on the other hand enjoy the early war "Grey" period , that being 1939 - 1943...There are ALOT of AFV's that are sadly missing from everyone's collection & need to be represented from the early day's of Blitzkrieg...ie the Pz 38t due to arrive this month has never been produced by any TS company that i have seen in twenty years of my collecting...Even though this tank played a major role in the Axis High Water Mark Expansion...By comparision , how many Tiger , King Tigers or Panthers have been produced by each TS company in the last twenty years...?!
In my opinion early war afv's are grossly underrepresented in this hobby...

And for me, my K&C collection is also focused on the early war grey period, and North Afrika.

Terry

Terry ,

& of course North Afrika for me as well...It is what started me collecting K&C...

Joe

Add another fifty shades of desert yellow, fifty shades of field gray, fifty camo patterns and fifty RAF blue into future dispatches. {sm4}

Not forgetting those, like me, who are very fond of winter camouflaged tanks, trucks and troops!

I am hoping the new 38 T Panzer will be out so I can pick it up while at the Texas show. ^&grin
