Hello all....well it was a WWII Weekend for me. After the OTSN Show on Sunday I ventured out to Rockford Illinois, 45 min west of OTSN, and visited World War II days. Over 500 WWII re-enactors with vehicles were there and all I can say is WOW! There were staged battles and you were able to tour the camp sites of the Axis and Allies, the re-enactors camped there for 2 nights. Enjoy the photos!

Schedule it in for next years trip Alex...the event takes place on Sat & Sun so you wouldnt even have to stay extra....just go on Saturday...I'll drive!

WOW! Nice pictures Brian. I will have to see that sometime. I know it is usually the OTSN weekend. I assume the reenactment took place at Catigny? Thanks for posting. I could not believe the field kitchen they brought to the re-enactment. Cool John

John....it is held in Rockford @ Midway Village. It's about a 45min drive from the OTSN site in Schaumburg.

Great pictures Warbuff! I used to live 2 hours straight south of Rockford--too bad I didn't know about this event then to take advantage of the location.
It was nice to see you at the show again this year too.

DRAT! I left the show on Sat to go shopping with the wife and went to Rockford on Sunday afternoon to visit my wife's brother (although Sunday in Rockford was not a great photographic day). Maybe the two events will coincide next year also. that would be great!
