This is a rather amazing developement. TG jumps into the air war in a huge way, with the first 2-seater that anyone has gotten to market, and an impressive job in the bargain. This is an extremely fine looking model. -- Al

Very nice indeed, an excellent looking plane. But I am glad I don't collect German aircraft (yet) as I wouldn't want to be hustling to get one of the ten......{sm2}

Why only 10? This is such a unique and rare offering for a WW1 plane collector, that I can imagine JJ selling far more. Michael

Very good question, Michael. The very small number of 10 is quite odd. JJD and KC have both proved that there is a good market for WW1 aircraft and, like yourself, I see this excellent looking aircraft as a sure buy for a lot more than 10 people. This is just going to frustrate some collectors. -- Al

My thoughts exactly. There should be a market for at least 50 of these. They're the first to produce this kind of plane and I wouldn't mind having this and multiple schemes of it.

True. TG picked an iconic 2-seater and I would have thought a much higher number would be easy to sell. Maybe further color schemes are in the future. -- Al

Although I don't collect WW I planes, this one looks very nice. However, only making 10 is absurd. I wouldn't be surprised to see a good many of them on eBay right off the bat.

Are there only 10 sets of the pilot figures? They are in interesting gear and poses and could be used in other scenes.

Very beautiful plane and pilots. I don't collect ww1 planes but would make an exception on this plane; But if they only produce 10 of them, I would have no chance to buy one at retail price.

I would think this decision is folly from TG and, I hope that this is not a feature that TG will adopt as part of their production norm for the future.

I think it only disappoints the majority of collectors and, actually could be counter productive. I agree with what has been said that 10 is insane a run and can only see those whose mind is fixed on reselling as fast as possible and are not what I consider collectors of TG profiting from such limited numbers. Whatever we hear about market forces and capitalism this does nothing to promote a healthy hobby IMO

Right, It is, however, a very nice aircraft and having 99% of JJD's I would say its the best looking aircraft I have seen on the market to date. Being only the second they have produced the FW 190 being superb I think it bodes well for the jet fighters that were bandied around a while back so long as the production numbers are a sensible number.

I sent Vicki Read (Sales & Marketing) @ TGM an email to eliminate all of the guess work. The Rumpler looks sharp and I like the pilot figures too.
