Will be posting some of my outdoor set ups from the last 18 years. Hope you enjoy them...

I begin fromone of the most unusual set ups. I decided to convert an area of my yard, of about 14'x12' into a "barren wasteland".
Used flour as the snow. The subject is Albert Ernst and his Nashorn crew from early in 1943. The vehicle was made by German Billy. I just did repair and overpainting on the vehicle. The crew is one of my own.

Wow! 1/6 is an incredible scale, esp. for vehicles. That tank must be massive. Well done!

For this one, I went to the beach! This was a commission work which I enjoyed as it was my first DAK vehicle back in 2005. I avoided DAK types as I had no way of photographing them in my yard. Much later, I used the same area shown in the first post with the Nashorn, less the snow, as my spot for DAK types.

Thanks! This is my heaviest vehicle. Hardly can "manage it" by myself. I usually roll it in a cart near the spot, then carry it only a very short distance. :smile2:
Mostly made out of metal.
My other vehicles, even larger models are fiberglass and not even close in weight.

A crowd favorite. A repainted 21C Jeep with a group of 41AD troops with their distictive camo uniforms at the time of Normandy 1944

This is one of my very first outdoor efforts from 2004... a Pak37 with early SS crew in ambush position somewhere in the Eastern Front...

Your pics and settings are amazing. I esp. like the DAK shots. I haven't photographed 1/6 much but did this one in the backyard a couple years ago:

Here iso ne from 2-3 years back. Once I had the area mostly bare of grass, I decided to also use it as desert! Here a Mardon Callanta model of a PzIII ausf L
A lot of extra detail parts from various manufacturers.
I really like how this one turned out!

Love the 1/6 scale vehicles! On a trip to Great Britain back in 2012 for one of the London Shows, a group of Froggers from the United States and Austrialia were taken to see an unbelievable collection of 1/6 scale stuff, much of it home-made, at the Tudor home of an elderly gentleman. Your photos remind me of that gentleman's wonderful work!:salute::

Eduardo, thank you for posting these photos, very impressive and realistic displays. All my displays have to be indoors as I recently paved all my outdoor area (hated mowing lawns). I do have a river at my front fence, maybe I should buy a radio controlled U-Boat to play with ^&grin

Hello!
I would guess the elderly gentelman is Peter Shaw. A giant of the 1/6 world. his scratch-built creations and epic set ups are unique in the 1/6 hobby. He led a group of collectors that called themselves Kampfgruppe Von Alt or something similar.
Truly incredible stuff!

Here one of my first effotrs. A vehicle that later was upgraded and repainted. Here as a 24th Pz Div recon 250/9 in 1943 in the Eastern Front

Another very early effort and one that is waiting for some new TLC, from 2004 a De Simone t-34 41/42 version... a colosal effort at the time.

This is one of my first vehicles that other collectors really liked. An Armor Hobbies build as a command 250/3 early version with the two antennae and not the more known fixed aerial on top of the rear deck. Still one of my favorites!
