Yes, nice fix John. Wayne, fancy keeping a little beauty like this hidden away in a draw! You must have been happy to come across it....

By the way and i know this has nothing to do with K&C, but you must be stoked the eagles scrapped home by 3 points last weekend! Big test for them this weekend tho.

Tom.

Mitch,

I didn't take an image of the 'before', but the front wheel, and handlebars were broken off where they joined onto the fuel tank.

I drilled into the 2 holes into the fork assembly where the lugs were and then corresponding holes into the fuel tank assembly, then glued 2 brass rods in and joind the parts together.

Some filler was also needed where the paint had chipped.

In addition I needed to bend the sidecar and bike out slightly as in the fall that broke the fork, they were squeezed together slightly.

Then some paint chips needed retouching and there you have it.... as good a new :)

Same damage for mine purchased 4 months ago, front wheel column came away. Glued it back, but still not strong enough and bike sagged to the ground. Have since found a stronger glue and will have another go at it one day. This must be an inherent fault with this bike. Cheers, Robin.
