Steve...If I send you pictures laid out/taken in a certain fashion of your preference can you make me some for a cost? These are absolutely magnificent & hope others/any are for sale!!! I could foresee laminating the cards and putting a picture with each set displayed A) for referencing B) and to be used as a set value card

Steve, this is absolutely wonderful. How do you get such an effect. It's almost like the real thing.

After looking at your pictures I got dust on my keyboard and salt water in my DVD drive. {eek3} Wonderful pictures and nice arrangement!

Thank you all for the encouraging comments. If you compare these two images to the 7-13-2011 post I did that had 1945 BERLIN & 1815 WATERLOO, I think each one is looking better and better as I develop more techniques. I think they have come a long way since the Collector #30 article "Picture This!".

Markey Marker your inquiry about the possibility of you taking a set of photographs of your collection and then sending me the images to make up a scene might be a little difficult. First you have to find the right background for your soldiers, then you have to photograph the soldiers so the light matches the light that is falling on the background. I could probably write a guide on how to photograph the soldiers, but if you don't have the right equipment, lighting and the other elements that go into making one of these images I don't think I could give you the same results. It's taken me between 3 - 6 hours to make one of these images in the computer and that's after I've photographed the soldier. My computer time bills at $100 per hour and it's hard to estimate a project without seeing all the pieces We will probably be selling these images in the near future.

Steve mate,
Outstanding cobber. Like Wayne you can guess the one I like the best. Great use of the K&C 4th Lighthorse Regiment figures.
Keep up the great work.
Cheers Howard

Steve...thanks for the info! If you don't mind let me know what program you use to create this effect. I would love then to try and work on my own since I have so many. Any tips on lighting would be useful. I currently have a Cannon Rebel T1i EOS 500D...would this suffice for a camera???
