Being the nerd CPA that I am: here is a breakdown of what I bought for 2010:

Rome $360- all St. Pete figures- yes, that bought me more than 1. Actually got a lot of KC Barbarians too. A lot of Conte as well.

Egypt- $390- mix between KC and JG miniatures pieces

Greece- $85- got a Greek phalanx set from East of India

WW2- $301- KC- most of that was the Tiger I bought from Lawrence Lo

AWI- $676- mostly KC figures- Britains cabin was in there as well

Iraqi Freedom- $325- Figarti Stryker closed 2010 out

next year will see huge spikes in Rome and OIF.

I daren't tot up this last years spend. I know it was alot.

$325 on OIF? What else apart from the Stryker did you get Chris?

Who has a real budget? I have a very strict one for 2011. It will be $200 + taxes per month. With AFVs averaging $200 and Figures $35 that translates to a maximum of 6 AFVs and 6 lots of 6 figures. All of it will be paid out of sales of no longer wanted items from my collection.

The budget really puts what I can get into perspective and makes for some difficult decisions. And I don't want to use up all my choices in the first half of the year.

Anyone else other than Chris and me with budgets? Collectors with no willpower do not need to respond - you will only embarass yourselves - and you know who you are.:D:D

My budget is $200 a month, providing nothing urgent springs up and eats into it. Some months a little more, some a little less and I have no choice but to stick to it. -- Al

I guess mine would be about $200 per month give or take a set here or a figure there :)

I think mine was $250 per month, but I can't be sure. The OTSN is a budget buster every year.:D

I have my own growing business, so I was able to throw my budget away. :D Michael

Just deleted my own post
I do not know the budget spent for the year coming to an end now and I don't want to make plans that I might not stick to for the year to come.
It' going to be a rollercoaster ride like it always has been

Don't have a budget per se just buy what takes my fancy. With K&C new stuff comes and you roughly know you have about a year before it may come under the axe so, I don't worry too much I have a hit list of old stuff I want and keep knocking them off so the budget is whatever these items will cost within the ''so long as I don't feel like I am being ripped off'' syndrome

Mine will average about $150 per month.Unless something comes out I really want.:D

Simon- that is funny you ask as I have been wracking my brain trying to remember!! Funny thing about age and memory :p...and in your case, hairline....:p:D

ok- I recall now- Figarti Stryker, orphan Delta figure from SF01 off ebay, 2 JG palm trees, 2 sets of Figarti Iraqi insurgents from Michtoy.

There you have it.

I budget $200/month- will NEVER go over that so long as I draw breath. I am now a one man public accounting firm and just scored my second contract. while, I am fortunate for this, I don't see the point in just blindly passing the fruits of my hard earned work over to any of the chuckleheads running these toy soldier companies. :D I'd rather take my wife and kids on nicer vacations, places to eat, things to do, etc.

Happy Christmas gang!!

You laugh now mate. First it's your memory, usually late 30s, then once you hit that magic 40, WHAM!, everything else starts to fall apart at the seams.

Comb it whilst you've got it. Another year and a half or so........:p;)

Just made my first purchase for 2011!! HOOAH!! :D

Picked up the Figarti Iraq War "Helping the children" Set. Got it on ebay!! Will probably take the civilian female from the set and use her for WW2 as she doesn't really look Iraqi :D

Good pick up mate, was watching it count down.
Now, if only we could track down those elusive snipers.....:cool:

What are you growing that is doing well in a recession?:D

My defense budget has been cut by the wifes desire to travel "while we still can". I think she has scheduled my stroke and involuntary commitment to the old folks home for after our return from Mexico.
