2011 Royal Wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton (1 Viewer)

Yes he just went back to the stables at Horseguards Parade. It was fun watching all the coppers scatter when they thought he was hedding their way. The ffotguards stood their groud nicely though!

The only injuries were 60 members of The Life Guards who needed treatment after splitting their sides laughing^&grin^&grin^&grin

Interesting...Horse and trooper fall and no one moves to help. I can see the Navy there thinking......"can't see a thing...nope....can't see a thing. Johno{sm2}

Yea, you gotta feel for that Horse Guard Trooper. He must have got alot of ribbing for that one. :redface2:

Does anyone know exactly what happen?

Also, which units do Prince William & Harry belong? I recall seeing a shamrock on Prince William's collar, my guess Irish Guards ? .

Steel horse shoes and a tarmaced roads! It happens sometimes. If your horse goes down there's not a thing in the world you can do, other than he should have held on to the rein to stop the "runaway". He sorted himself out quick time and you can see him at attention, carry swords ,in front of the navy. Mean while his horse went home!^&grin He WILL be expected to buy a round of beer for his troop!
As future Monarch, Prince William is expected to serve time in all of the armed force. He joined RHG/D first then transfered to the R.A.F. where he is a serving air sea rescue pilot. On the morning of his wedding he was awarded the title the Duke of Cambridge and the Colonelcy of the Irish Guards. Prince Harry is in RHG/D attached to the Army Air Corps. That's why he sometimes wears that strange mix of RHG/D No1 dress with sky blue beret!

When you you're on parade, you stand your ground!

Thanks Martin. The thing I love about the British military is the rigid professionalism they/you have. Thats what makes it so riveting to watch. I did see that horse bolt, and wondered. Now I know why. Was just joking about the Navy.Thanks mate,Johno.

There you go well done. One rule during public duties, if something goese wrong, act like it was supposed to happen. Most people watching don't know the difference. That's why I've bought a few rounds in my time!

Here is a quote for you Martin from the HCMR facebook page regarding the tumble

"it could have been worse, it could have been a lifeguard" {sm4}{sm3}

Where does the horse keep his money Martin? Or will the bartender accept a "Rein Cheque"? I'll bet the other horses can't wait!^&grin
I also had a small wager with a pal - that Prince Will wouldn't be wearing RAF uniform when he got hitched!" Happy to say - I won!:D

Scott - you're are right, there is a definite resemblance between your Mum in 1918 and the bridesmaid Grace van Cutsem.
