I thought I would post pictures I took of the new ACW leaders in H&A scenics. I have posted these before but now that they have been released in the catalog I thought some of you might want to see them again.

Are any of these you 'favorite' and why?

All good looking figures, Ken, but the best of them is General A.P. Hill for me, due to the great sculpted pipe :salute::
I love fine details like that.

Love all !

Is the guy with red cap an artillery officer ?

Why sir, thats P.G.T. Beauregard! He was a creole from Louisiana, who excelled in artillery, and became a renowned Confederate general. Kind of like "a little Napoleon". So that explains the kepi.

My favorite fig is Hill due to the sculpting, but I do love Beauregard.

Nicely done photography Ken and excellent personality figures. My favorite would be Albert Sidney Johnston. For those that aren't familiar, he was considered by Confederate President Jefferson Davis to be the finest general officer in the Confederacy before the emergence of Robert E. Lee, he was killed early in the Civil War at the Battle of Shiloh and was the highest ranking officer, Union or Confederate, killed during the entire war. Davis believed the loss of Johnston "was the turning point of our fate". Certainly a great personality for early ACW in the western theater of operations.

I believe Johnston died because none of his staff knew how to tie a tourniquit. He had sent his surgon away to help a wounded Union soldier. Shortly after, Johnston turned very pale and fell from his horse unconcious. His staff had trouble locating the wound - Johnston was hit in the leg, a wound which severed a major blood vessel and was bleeding out into his boot. When finally finding the wound, none of the men present knew how to stop the bleeding, and Gen. Albert Sidney Johnston quickly bled to death - for the want of a rag and a stick, and someone who kew how to use them.

Ken, like Gen'l Hanncock, you are superb! Really like Little Powell with his pipe and red battle shirt.

Wonderful sculpts. I too especially like AP Hill. The pipe really is a great touch.

These sculpts look fantastic. I'm really glad to see that Britains is introducing more Western theater subjects. I'm also curious about the accessories shown in the photos, namely the rail fence and brown corn stalks. Are these new scenic items that will be available in the future? Are they Britains or Hudson & Allen?

Thank you all for the kind comments. We hope to add a fair number of new Civil War leaders over the next few years and are still working on our list.
All of the scenics in these images are Hudson & Allen custom pieces. Richard and I have talked about late season corn stalks for the future. For now, if you are interested please contact us at our hudsonandallen.com site for a quote.
Here is the same one used with some Federals.

Ditto. Something different from the norm is always a plus in my book.

Hi Ken

Great looking figures but I really like the Grant figure and may have to add him to my collection even though I already have him in gloss.

Also love the grass and fence scenics.
