2014, what do you hope to see?? (2 Viewers)

I'm not sure if any of you guys are familiar with the statute/sculpture "The Dying Gaul". It's one of my favorite pieces of art. I'd love to see FL do that in miniature.

It's recently been here in DC at the Natuonal Gallery. It is pretty unbelievable that something so evocative can be so old. I agree that is could be fantastic nitration for a figure.

Hi Guys,
There is plenty that's already been released that I really want to keep me busy for a long time, but with the upcoming WWI line its really got me thinking of possible future releases . How about something like this to go with those FANTASTIC trench sections ? German's fighting a English Tank :salute:: I'd be all over this ^&grin^&grin^&grin^&grin just BEAUTIFUL. regards Gebhard

Hi Frank,
Actually its 54mm 1/32 scale and I agree its a piece of Military Miniature Art. The kit cost a mere $589.14 or you could go all out and have the master painted version for only $3,825.60 :wink2:. I was really excited to see First Legion announce their WWI line and I've a feeling its gonna be GREAT with many years of enjoyment coming my way^&grin . regards Gebhard

Apart from the Spanish-American War, Hannibal and the Carthaginian army ^&grin

I would like to see American War of Independence grow.

Prussian Regiments at the Battle of Trenton

Fusilier Regiment Von Knyphausen
Fusilier Regiment Von Lossberg
Grenadier Regiment Von Rall

Prussian Regiments at the Battle of Saratogo/Bemis Heights

Light Infantry Von Barner
Grenadier Regiment Von Specht
Musketeer Regiment Von Riedesel

:salute:::smile2::)

Hope in some brit . infantry of the napoleonic wars..hopefully some with the stovepipe shako and not the ubiquitous (in toy soldier world) belgian shako..i think that making the 52nd regiment (decisive at Waterloo) could be a winning move..they were equipped with stovepipes..so they can be useful for the Peninsula too..:)

18th Century Era Buildings - Military Barracks (1750-1815). Wooden, 2 story. At scale - 20 ft Wide, 16 ft Tall, then shallow sloped roof (low roof profile) , 40 or 45-foot Long ( 16 - 18 inches long at scale). Nice if you could butt them up against each other to generate a "larger" barracks.

Napoleonic ..Prussian Landwehr and The Bavarian Chevaux-Leger cavalry Regiment for Borodino . Although I'm still way behind on several lines I thought I'd just throw it out there one more time:wink2: as these are long time dreams of mine since day one of First Legion.

Those hoping for FL seige equipment consider the superb Elastolin pieces until FL makes them. Elastolin made Ballista, Catapults, Onagers, Trebuchets, Battering Rams and Seige Towers in the 1970s that even today set the standard for quality and historical accuracy. Were I FL I would duplicate them in pewter. The Elastolin Medieval artillery is also impressive; some have turned brass barrels and to my knowledge no one has equaled or excelled them. They are 70MM scale but will work with a range of figures scales from 1/32 to 1/25. The Elastolin models can be found on Ebay at reasonable prices. I encourage FL to use them as prototypes as nothing better has ever been done. Regards

Been reading a few things on the American Indian wars and recently saw Jeronimo, the movie by Walter Hill with a very young looking Matt Damon, maybe this would be an interesting theme for FL to do. Have you thought of what a few Sioux, Apache or Soshone would look like done by FL, alongside with some US Cavalry and settlers?

I want Indian Wars as an example the Nez Perce Campaign where the cavalry took the gatling gun.

No one to my knowledge has done a KV-1 in 1/30 scale. Given the Ostfront interest of First Legion I think this would be an excellent product. Were KV-1s at Stalingrad? I know they were present at Karkov. A suitable adversary for the early Tiger I.
First Legion as a business is well advised to continue to offer products that are different from the competition! Another unique vehicle that was at Stalingrad was the Sturer Emil; a 128mm SP Gun that killed 28 Soviet tanks prior to capture. The captured vehicle is at the Russian Tank Museum today!

I would like to see Matt do Siege of Troy, Egyptians and Hittites,he does a great job on Ancients and he wouldn't have to worry about the rivet counters, since there's not much accurate documentation or pictures of what their Attire and Armour looked like.

Oh! I love the idea of Siege of Troy. Could have Hector, Achilles, Aeneas, Ajax... nice!
