Thanks so much for sharing, the images are fantastic in quality and show everything in great detail! It`s a great favor and gift to all of us who can`t be there, very much appreciated!!

Thanks Kurt, your video skills are excellent, the forum should pay for you to go to ever show. Robin.

Thanks for the video. Very well done and gives you a good flavor of what goes on at a show.

Excellent job Kurt

So, are you using a 4K video camcorder?

Which one and how easy is it to use?

Any lighting or jitter issues? How does it handle them.

Again, great job.

Carlos

Thank you Kurt for your coverage of the West Coaster on behalf of those collectors who did not attend or were stuck at their tables during the show (like me). Your steady hand and close ups provided great micro detail of the dioramas and individual figures. I would also have loved to see some more general, macro views of the show with a slow panning up and down each aisle to give a better idea of the breadth and depth of what was being offered.

Saw you in action and was wondering what you were up to. I liked the effect of the close-ups showing some movement while background items remained static . . . gave the realism of being real!

Glad you all enjoyed the video. I hope most of you are able to watch it on a good-sized smart TV rather than a small computer monitor.

Hi Carlos – I shot this with my cellphone, a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 which, amazingly, does record in 4K. The Note 4 does an incredible job of adjusting for low lighting. There is an optional image stabilization feature but in my opinion, it doesn’t help much. I edited the video in Cyberlink Power Director which also enhances stabilization. Yet, despite both of these you can still see some shots are quite shaky. It really comes down to just trying your best to keep a steady hand.

Mike – I agree with your suggestion to take more shots that capture the overall scene including the aisles. I’d do that next year.

Great video although in the first part of the video I have to admit that is Me working with Andy and it looks as if I am slacking at the job, I was working on my phone............ok, I admit it, I was bidding on ebay for something!!!
