Even without a favorite team in what is left of the 2020 season, I have been enjoying what the NHL has done with the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Yeah, I tried but I can't get into this.

It's weird to hear "Game two Hurricanes at Bruins", then "Game three Bruins at Hurricanes".....both played in the same rink.

Not to mention; sorry, after that bag job in the finals last year handing the Blues a cup because it was a great story, I can't get into a sport that is clearly rigged, the referees swallowed their whistles in the finals after that cementhead coach of the Blues whined about how many penalties were being called on his pack of goons and that was that, the ice was slanted one way from that point on.

A complete and utter joke.

Much like basketball, a sport clearly rigged so LeBron gets his championships handed to him.

NFL is sort of the same way too; Mahommes is the new poster boy for the league, so the skids were greased for him to win a Super Bowl, the sad sack Chiefs finally win a Super Bowl after 50 years of buffoonery.............

I do like the fact that the team with home ice gets the last line changes on face offs etc.

I was watching the Colorado Dallas game last night.

It was 3-1 in favor of the Avs with about 15 minutes left in the 3rd so I decided to go make dinner. I came back 10 minutes later and it was 4-3 in favor of Dallas!

Then with 8 minutes to go Colorado tied it, 3 minutes later they took the lead finally winning with an empty netter, 6-4.

It was a necessary distraction in the middle of some personal issues.

The NHL remains my favorite league and hockey remains my favorite sport no matter who is playing.

The #5 seed Dallas Stars have made it the Stanley Cup Finals.

The unpredictably of the NHL remains one of the biggest reasons why it is my favorite sports.

What a ratings bonanza Dallas/Tampa will be in the finals.

Does anyone other than the puck give two ****s about the Stars in Dallas?

At least in the NBA, fans will tune in to the finals to either see LeBron preening around after winning yet another title or flipping out and crying/*****ing/complaining to the refs that they had the nerve to call a foul on him.

And that Heat/Lakers final is going to be another ratings bonanza.

"Can LeBron beat his previous former former team or will Butler and 11 tomato cans I've never heard of pull of the upset?"

Wow, you can't make up that kind of excitement.

The NHL is one of those sports that I watch no matter who is playing.

I grant you teams like Dallas aren’t exactly full of original 6 nostalgia, but the players and play are still incredible and worth my viewing time.

Also, the Stars players are notorious for doing extraordinary things within their community despite the fact that none of them are from Texas. As George likes to say, hockey players are simply a different breed.

Great moment last night when Tampa Bay’s Steven Stamkos scored on his first shot attempt of the playoffs.

Shortly afterwards on another shift he apparently reinjured his core muscle injury. Trainers tried to get him to leave the bench but he refused as he wanted to be there for his teammates.

Great series final between Tampa and Dallas.

The NHL did a phenomenal job with the Stanley Cup this year.

Congrats to the league and the Lightening.

Full disclosure; I'm a big playoff hockey fan. That said, I completely lost interest once the Bruins were bounced.

At the end of the day, it's still nice to have a league where the best team isn't determined solely due to which city has the best nightlife like with the Heat several years ago, the best media opportunities or which star can tamper and wreck other teams to put his buddies on the roster like the Lakers did this year.

Glad to see home town boy Pat Maroon win another cup. I felt sorry for the players winning it all and know one in the stands for the celebration.
Bet this is the first time Gary Bettman took to the ice and wasn't booed. Listening to the fake back ground sound I actually thought to make it real they would have played a recording of fans booing when he walked in.

The best team won it this year..................so when does the 2020/2021 season start, Christmas?

No matter what the start date, I am really looking forward to next season.

Fantastic to see Joe Thornton signing with the Toronto.

He was great with San Jose and Boston and even greater in the local Silicon Valley community with many different charities and causes.

Hey everyone! Just signed up for this forum today so I thought I'd jump right on. Hockey? Yes, please! I'm a huge Bruins fan and was glad to snag an autographed Willie O'Ree puck finally before having his jersey retired because I know the price will jump. Anyone looking forward to the retro uniforms being worn by all teams this year for a game or two?

There are great names in hockey. I watched the Blue Jackets and Preds game last night. The two goalies for Columbus are named Joonas Korpisalo and Elvis Merzlikins.
