Really nice photography Alex. One question though, will the model not sit up correctly as it should with the nose wheel on the ground? ^&confuse
Amazing shot! It really has that old WWII movie style about it. Excellent posing of the figures as well.Doollittle's men prepare for their perilous mission under the watchful and hopeful eyes of their commander.

It's supposed to represent the tail strike of the "Ruptured Duck" on take-off during training for the raid on Tokyo. I think part of the training was taking off with the nose wheel immediately in the air to reduce friction and allow as short of takeoff as possible.

Duke
Figarti had the foresight to weight the nose, so it sits perfectly on the tricycle landing gear. I just set it up this way to show the take off posture during training. Alex
Really nice diorama's. The USAAF series is one of K&C's best IMO. ^&cool I've got most of them and I don't think they get the credit and attention they deserve given the "grey" wave washing over the hobby right now.
Alex,
Excellent work! Thank you for paying special tribute to the Tokyo Raiders. The British have Operation Chastise and the legend of the Dambusters Squadron, but this raid showed the world that the United States was going to be formidable foe to deal with.
