Hi Mark,
My full rounds purchases have slowed to a trickle but I'm still buying some, having to move my entire collection when we moved south to Texas was a real eye opener to how large my collection really was. Also I'm going thru a time when my interest is pointing more toward earlier history, less of the modern era's.
Whats new with you?
Ray
After weeks of grulling work on the road, I'm home for the Holiday and some relaxation!
Picked up 4 more prints toward completeing my collection of hand colored Hourtolle prints
This one is of the French Security units in Spain where the Guerrilla movement was so strong, what intrigues me is the Block house in the background. there were a string of these built across the countries main transport routes to protect the security forces from attack, would make an excellent structure for a diorama!
I have posted in the past that I am collecting a series of Napoleonic prints, hand colored by Hourtoulle, looks like I have found another artist with a line similar,
P. Courelle, larger format, heavier stock, but well animated. picked these up on Ebay France
