30th June London show report! (1 Viewer)

Marder, does it come in Wehrmacht Grey?
Thanks
N-P

I think at present, the three versions planned are Winter, desert and summer / 3 colour camo.

That said, there is going to be a limited run of a different paint scheme available through Ron at Crossroads, but I don't know what version that'll be.

I thought I'd taken more shots than this and apologies for bits I've not captured. I'm hoping that the K&C UK Live TV roving reporting team will be able to fill in some of the gaps and give a visual overview of the show.

Thoroughly enjoyed the day and it was great to meet some of the other frogs (tree variety, for clarification).

Again Simon,

Thanks, I know how difficult it is to take pictures, enjoy the show and then post ASAP on the Forum.

Great job!

Hi Guys just got home!.Well what a show!!!First a big thank you to everyone at K&C UK,another great show really enjoyable. It was so good to see all the Neville family again they always make you feel so welcome.(Dave's mum even made me a pastie for my lunch!,so kind of you thanks very much-was delicious!)

So as well as the K&C crew it was great to meet up with Simon,Clive,Kevin,Tom,James and his mum(very nice lady and fellow collector).

And so to the nitty gritty!

First K&C had a great layout with all the new Normandy stuff (except the M12)that all looks even better in the flesh.Tony has made some excellant D day dios that really complement the US troops.I was then interviewed fro K&CUK TV,sorry if your watching this whilst eating i'm an ugly F****!:D

I then met a nice chap called Mark from TM Terrain who showed me the Collectors showcase stuff which looked good,as far as i could see there was no new stuff but their AK line does look good.

I then had a very interesting chat with Mr John Jenkins about his produce.Very nice chap who really knows his stuff. His figures are superb,he had their new Fort/Blockhouse on show which is cool and very tempting indeed. He was a bit shy about telling me about his new range but he did tell me in the end.HOWEVER :)I would like to check with him by email before i say anything because i'm not sure he wants it known yet,he was not launching the range today.

Then i went to NMA! Oh my god!! Marders and Tigers, Tigers and Marders!!!!.Five different Tigers, Summer, winter,AK,Tunisian Ltd Edition Grey (only 10 made!)Three Marders in the usual colours,Both these vehicles are really good and the crews are very nice too. Also a PAK anti tank gun.All these products show what a leap forward NMA/Blake has made. You got to see this Grey Tiger chaps;).

I checked out HB Shermans and they are very very nice. However i had to pass for now as i do have some Shermans.Definetly on the list though.

And what did i buy?:) K&C; Hummel,Normandy Kubel(wonderful piece) original T34 and DD62 'Calling for reinforcements. From NMA i got the summer Schwimmwagen and i preordered two of the Tigers.(Ltd Ed Grey and the Tunisian version). But i also want those Marders. You are going to love them Mr Gambale.Sorry couldn't take pics but should be able to see all on the TV tommorow. Now off to rest Back/Credit Card!

Thanks again to all

Rob

I was thinking of the work you and Steven do for the US shows whilst I was posting the photos. It's amazing who much I thought I'd got but hadn't. Hopefully by the next show, I'll have upgraded my camera and my photography skills and I've also appreciated the need to get a lot more close up shots.

Cheers

KV,

Sorry I didn't get more of the earlier era and glossy shots. My eyes tended to get drawn towards the bigger layouts. There was heaps of stuff, but with so much of the stuff, I wasn't really sure what I was looking at, whether it was new, old, common or rare. I think next time round, I'll click away regardless and let the experts identify what's what.

Hi guys-

Thanks for the reports.

You kept me awake until 1:30 am last night. As I spent the afternon and the evening at the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal (great shows -Denny's Dixieland Clan, Alexandra de Venezuela et Le Latin Jazz Band, L'Esprit de la Nouvelle-Orléans and finally Enzo Avitabile & Bottari), I was unable to read your posts as they go along.

I am particularly happy for Blake.

Pierre.

Hi NP
I am trying to get some stock over within the next couple of weeks or so to go out to dealers.
The PAK 40 is going to come out in a 2 box set so you can buy crew and artillery piece seperate if you wish - same as the Marder. The PAK will also come with its own shells and boxes to make some useful accessories for dio's.
The PAK will not be out until August as the Tiger and Marder are already well under production. I estimate the PAK on its own will be about $30 and the crew of 3 about $50 (Don't quote me on this!) but we are still in negotiation over final price. BTW let me know if you want a grey version?
Regards Blake

Having seen the quality of the Tigers and Marders yesterday, i must say i am looking forward to NMA doing some British armour.:)

Rob

Second Lieutenant Wraith along with others thankyou for taking the time and sharing the photos from the show. I'm wondering if you played aide to General Rob in providing the photos. Nice shots of the Zulu War Range and grateful for them. Hope you walk away with a few pounds remaining in your wallet....The other Second Louie.......The Lt.

Hey Lt,

I saw the massed Zulu formation and thought of you.

I like to think of myself as General Rob's 'dark side' aide.
'Go on General, you know you want it, just sign on the dotted line, that's all you've got to do sir. What just the 5 pieces? It's only a signature sir, that's all. Then it will all be yours.' (KV style Muuuuhaaahaa in the background) :)

:D:D That Simon is a bad influence!.As i left the house that morning i said to the wife' 'i'm only buying one box of 1/72 scale Airfix soldiers and nothing else at all darling'!.I'm sure as i looked at all the K&C stuff i could hear Simon saying 'Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuy it alllllll!.
