442 figure (1 Viewer)

KV,
Excuse my ignorance but what is a 442 figure ?

I know 432 would be a Triad figure but no idea of 442.

Regards
Brett

Hi Brett. I think KV is referring to the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, a Japanese American outfit that made quite a name for itself in the Italian and ETO in WW2. It's motto was "Go for broke". Movie of the same name starred Van Johnson. If this isn't it then he's got me too.:redface2: -- Al

I'm interested, but it would depend on the sculpts, price, etc. I was going to buy the Figarti set, but didn't because it was too expensive. It might be a hard sell. CS could make Texans too, representing their rescue after being surrounded by the Germans.

Dear Al,
Thanks for that. Have heard of the unit, highly decorated I believe, but 442 had not "registered".
Have a great week end.
Regards
Brett

Having visited graves of the 442nd and 100th battalion (442nd predecessor) at the Punch Bowl military cemetary, I would like to see figs depicting this storied unit. Chris
