Hello All!

Come join us in Historic Perrysburg, Ohio July 28-30, 2017 for the 4th Annual W.Britain Symposium! All are welcome!

Planning on attending at this point in time. Sounds like it will be a fun and rewarding weekend. Looking forward to it . . .
Mike

This is a great site with many other historical attractions just a short drive away. The event figure will be a member of the 2nd US artillery as they appeared in 1813.
I hope to see several of you there!
All the best,
Ken Osen

We always offer our event figures to both the U.S. and the UK Club membership. Look for this offering in the fall issue of The Standard with a full description.
I am sculpting the master figure right now and as soon as it is finished I will post pictures.

Just sent my reservation in to Ericka Osen for this event . . . . . I will be arriving sometime on Friday afternoon 7/28 and staying through Sunday 7/30. My reservations have also been made at the Hilton Garden Inn. Hope to see many familiar faces there and get to meet some new faces as well . . . . .

I'll be there! (Lord willin' and the crik don't rise) ;)

My first ever Britains Symposium but my third visit to historic Fort Meigs!

I would love to go but they are always up in "Yankee Land". It would be nice if they would hold one down here in the Deep South. I would love to see the Symposium be a traveling location different every year. I guess there are not enough collectors down here to get Ken to come to Texas.

We have moved the event around with two in Gettysburg (what is not to like about Gettysburg?) and one in Madison Wisconsin so far. This is only our 4th Symposium...which is all about history and has great speakers and hands-on clinics. Fort Meigs, fallen Timbers and the River Raisin Battlefields are so close it was begging for us to host one on our "home turf."
It is hard to say where we will be next year...but it is the brand's 125th anniversary.

We will keep Texas on the list... we will be at the San Antonio show this year so perhaps we will see some of you there.

Ken

Hello All,

Just a quick reminder that the special symposium rate for hotel rooms ends tomorrow. We still have 1 opening on the Hudson & Allen Blockhouse Scenic Diorama workshop left and a small handful of spots in the figure painting class. If you have never been to a W.Britain Symposium, this would be a great time to start coming. Not only do we have a great line-up of speakers, a wonderful hotel and a cool old fort to play in but there is also the Sunday morning tour of the W.Britain world Headquarters too! Come join us and your fellow collectors the last weekend in July in Perrysburg, Ohio. Call 419-865-5077 if you have any questions.

All the Best,

Ericka

Best laid plans . . . . . . I have had to cancel my participation at this symposium at the last minute. My wife has not been feeling well the past three days with dizzy spells and some elevated blood pressure. Blood tests and a check up at the doctor's office yesterday came back all normal. Started our trip to Ohio early this morning . . . Got to Rockford, Illinois when she asked if we could go back home due to an uneasy feeling and tingling in her left arm. Well of course we turned around and went back home. Contacted doctor again and we are taking it one step at a time. Disappointed that I won't be at the Symposium, however somethings are just more important . . . .

So sorry to hear that, Mike. Praying for your wife and that everything turns out okay.

Thoughts and prayers for your wife Mike. Chris

Best wishes on your wife's recovery. I'm approaching toward an older age (58), never thought about getting older and here I am, worrying about falling ill, healthcare, social security and retirement. It must be spooky to have your spouse not be well. Take care.

Thanks gentlemen for all your kind thoughts . . . . My wife is doing much better now . . . . Her Doc suspects that it was a combination of allergies and an anxiety attack . . . . All tests and checkup came back normal . .

Good news about Lynn, we were worried.
Sorry you will not be here... folks were already asking when you would be arriving. When the dust settles we will send you your goodies... We will also be posting pictures on the Facebook page during the weekend.
Talk to you soon Mike.
