Profuse apologies. I don't believe Maistro Diecast Models makes the correct Citroen in 1:24, but Bburago certainly does (2 different models). Obviously my recollection of both manufacturer and scale was in error. 1:24 would be far more logical than 1:18 scale. Have previously indicated I'm not a dioramist, and this just serves to illustrate why. Not only why, but why I hesitate to become involved in these discussions. Unfortunately in my mind the whole arena of "scale" in "toy soldiers" has rapidly become analogous to the minefield of restrikes and fakes of British Army cap badges. Arnhem Jim

No apologies necessary, and I read your link about scale. I had a complete collection of the Dinky military range including the rarer French Dinky series. Most were 1/60 scale and didn't blend well with my 1/50 scale Solido tanks, not such an issue to me at the time as they were originally intended as toys. Similar case with the earlier Britains military vehicles being intended for children, then subsequently collected by nostalgic adults.

The current scale issues have more to do with collectibles intended for the adult market. They are more expensive than ever and it can be no surprise that an increasing number of collectors expect more accurate scaling...increased detail....and realistic painting and weathering. That said, I've noted that even self proclaimed scale pedants sometimes mix scales that look way off to me, but they seem happy enough, which is the main thing :wink2:

These are superb, skillful and highly enjoyable pictures indeed. They produce such vivid and eye catching scenes and display these excellent figures at their very best. Many congrats on great work here.
