60th Regiment of Foot - Morning Inspection (1 Viewer)

ooooooooooooooooh......love your new shutters...

like Billy Crystal said...

"they look marvelous"

have you resumed work again...

I know Nick told me it was snowing again...

and you always said the basement was a booger when it was cold...

also kudos on your roof and chimneys...

the chimneys look the perfect scale to me...

is the roof Hirst Arts wood shingles and are they stained or painted?

Mike,

Stained, not painted. Best to place a wood stain pre-treatment to help seal the high porosity pieces, then the wood stain. Even easier if you just stain them individually first and then match for color, the few outliers can then been discarded. Final coat is a polyurethane semi-gloss.

This looks great Ken!!! Love those Royal provincial figures and I hope that JJ issues more of them.

Mark

Ken, its always a pleasure fro me to see your fort and what you are currently doing with it. The 60th Regiment of Foot look terrific and to me are quite eye appealing . . . . great color scheme. Have you seen the Thomas Gunn 60th Foot figures and if so, do they compare favorably to JJD scale wise?
:smile2: Mike

For photo comparison, see thread in General Matte Discussion. Did not want any negative vibes raining down on our little section of the board. So no pictures here.

Mike,

I added more photos and manufacturers to the thread under General Matter Discussion.

A truthful depction of a soldier's life...drill...inspections and more drill, which is punctuated by the moments of sheer terror! Nice figures and fort. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers,
Brendan

Very nice. The 60th certainly had that "snazzy" appeal.

The 60th really standout in your fort. I see you are adding to the garrison. Again what others have said; wonderfully built fort.
