Very nicely done, the rise of the mound really helps with the display, much better approach than a flat scene. Looking at the scene just reinforces that I very much need a background painting or something... another something to think about.

There were 4 separate battalions of the 60th. As such, they were nearly everywhere from 1757 and afterward. Only engagements they may have missed are Monongahela and Oswego (A Montcalm Win in 1756). The only way I think we could distinguish between the battalions would be slight difference between the flag bearers and drummers.

John has released 6 different rank & file marching figures for the 60th, so easily the most varied, even if some look a tad sloppy after a long grueling march.

Well done! I love the scene and those 60th figures too. As Ken stated, the raised mound is the perfect touch.......very realistic!

I am with in wanting John to make more figures from the 60th battalion.

we're waiting for some more 60th releases, Officer and Flagbearers among them. In the catalogue are still to allocate the set numbers 1, 2. 3 and 8. Some more wonderful poses 'at ease' like these would be very appreciated!

You're not alone in waiting more of the 60th regiment figures, especially some in the non-combat poses.

I've made my request to JJ many times over the years for more "at ease" figures to accompany the ones you pictured. Another guy drinking from a canteen, maybe sitting would be nice.

When John was at the MFCA show in May, he asked me and others what we wanted to see him make. When it came to the 60th regiment he remembered my request for some relaxed posed figures. While he didn't commit to anything, he is aware that many collectors are wanting more of the 60th. Ken, Fraxinus here on the forum is one of them. Ken and I must have given JJ an earful on our all requests at the show last May. The impression I got is that it is hard to keep up with the newly developed lines and to keep adding to previously released ranges at the same time.

My gut feel is that JJ will eventually make more of the 60th figures. When, however, is the question. And whether or not they will be combat or non-combat remains to be seen.

John is currently working on the Saratoga/Drums along the Mohawk/ American Revolution series. I'm hoping for more British Regiments and a New Hampshire Regiment.
The Conquest of the Americas and Ancient Romans and their enemies are also in full swing. But, never count out more FIW figures.....think I saw some sculpts that are amazing.

I really like what you did here! The 60th Royal American Regiment was done so well by John and he really captured a great amount of color on these men.

I agree with what almost everyone else is saying on here about a resurgence of this series. Personally for me, I'd love some combat poses for the New Jersey Regiment. Unfortunately I don't think he'll be making some flags for at least that range because there doesn't seem to be any indication that they had a regimental flag bearer.

Oh well, here's to hoping!

Very nice set up. The figures look great!
How close would the uniforms and equipment of these figures be to those worn by regular British troops in the AWI?
I would imagine there had to be blue faced British units and if the details are similar these figures could do double duty for example in the Battle of Saratoga.
