I have been planning to dedicate a thread to the 66th Regiment (Royal Berkshire Regiment) for a while now, something along the lines of the GRENADIER GUARDS and CAMERON HIGHLANDS. The difference with this thread and the other two is the catalogue info, the 66th figures were released as single figures and the purchaser could, if he or she wanted, buy them individually or in sets of the purchaser’s choice. I will picture the figures individually along with the appropriate set number.

Now to start the thread I have chosen a set that is not an official 66th Regiment one, it has no catalogue number, but is on the “wants” list of many Trophy collectors. The reason I have shown it here is the chap helping Dr, Watson is a member of the 66th Regiment. The joy for me is it came in the original box which included Bobby the dog, he appears in only 6 of the original 18 sets that were made, and it is from an indisputable source.

Fantastic set Martyn, ya gotta love sets that have man's best friend featured in them. Nicely displayed and photographed, a big thumbs up all the way 'round! :smile2:

Nice sets, Martyn. I had a couple of the individual 66th Foot, at one time, along with 6 of the Afghans, but long ago traded them off as I could not find enough 66th figures at the time to make collecting the series worth while. Stuck with the AZW. -- Al
