I've repurposed a diorama base that I've had for many years to display the Union Limber Under Fire set with its companion pieces. The base was made by Ken Olsen which I purchased at a Chicago Toy Soldier Show a long time ago. Let's just say it required some dusting and minor repair 😉. Three more sets to be added: Artillery Officer (July release), NCO Outrider, and the Horse Team Extension.

Really nice Mike. I have all the sets so far boxed up but you have really set them off a treat with that base.

It does need the extension set doesn't it.

That’s a magnificent piece which deserves this type of terrain board to showcase appropriately. The additional pieces to come, are something to look forward to and further enhance the diorama. Robin.

This will look quite grand when fully complete with all the additions. - JJD sure doesn't shy away from the ''big'' sets... Chariots, Conestoga wagons, Aztec temples etc.

THX Gary. The extension set is definitely on my "must have" list.

Great diorama Mike! Nothing beats a gun detachment galloping into action.

Brendan

Thanks Brendan. What makes this set unique are the horse casualties.

Thank you Robin. John's creative mind allows the collector the ability to make a creative yet dynamic display without having to invest in the entire series.

The base is perfect for the display.

THX Chris. It's hard to beat a Ken Olsen created display base.

Thank you Ken. John certainly continues to provide sets that stimulate the imagination for great looking vignettes.

I just realized that Ken Osen's name was misspelled in my comments above. Auto select/correct can be challenging at times. My apology to Ken.
