The gun arrives at last, now the action can commence. Cheers, Robin.

nice photo but hate the bright green CS use & that why I went for the winter version

Nic dio. Lots of neat figures and vehicles, with lots going on. The new CS 88 and prime mover look great. -- Al

Here's a few very hasty pics of the winter set 'in battery' (and a messy desk). The Officer observing doesn't really look like a zombie-blame the photographer-lol.

the pictures are great. This is the one I got. I have not seen the Normandy in person but, I am thinking of getting one and repainting it grey.

Not a bad setup Mike for a quick throw together, the Winter theme is always interesting. Cheers, Robin.

Excellent dio guys. My winter 88mm is still stuck at Canadian Custom due to Postal strike still going on here  .

Now that's just not fair !

Thanks for the kind comments guys, headed off on a week-long business trip swing and just wanted to get few quick pics of the new set posted before taking off, in between catching up on expense reports. I got the caisson set as well, will open it when I get back home.

Watch the hooks when adding on the gun to the wheels, they take some force to snap together, one of mine has come away, will need some strong glue to put back on. Sort of feel once in the transport mode it should be left that way and have a second gun just for the firing layout. Cheers, Robin.

I recieved the CS Normandy version 88MM the other day. I must say it is a very nicely made set. Metal construction and has a good feel to it.Also got the 3 man Artillery add on set. To me the CS figures have improved in their sharpness and detail, realism, etc.Well worth it IMO ! ^&cool

I would have to slightly disagree with you there. I have collected CS from the day one scenario with early LAH and AK ranges. Some were shocked at early facial poses and, I can see that for me, I loved them and new what they were trying to do to create a more realistic expression to the soldiers released. Anyway, thats off the point if one looks back at the early armour the panzer I and 88mm flak and the troops from the waffen ss sets or early airborne including the PAK howitzer for both german and american to see the detail has always been there in bundles. I think CS have began to tone down the facial expressions but, IMO have consistantly been there for detail.

I was comparing the Tank commander figures from last year versus the new 88MM crew figures. Oh well.

Point still stands IMO and just a comment which, is what its all about is it not??
