Funny Michael because Brad and I had this same conversation earlier today; there are actually five crewmen at 29.00 a pop, 145.00 just for the figures, so the vehicle itself is 94.00..........

George, it appears, you can count and apparently I cannot. I forgot the seated gunner. So $94 for the vehicle, man that's a heck of a deal.

Got mine yesterday, I didn,t think it was broke, but maybe it is. I can,t get the gun to elevate. Am I doing something wrong?
Gary

Gary:

1st off there is at least three pieces of foam blocking elevation so make sure they are out. If you look under the 88 gun barrel in the rear you will see a small set of theeth and what looks like a handle on the end. This fits into a small gear fixed on the gun base which holds the gun at different elevations.
If you turn the gun upside down it will start to move forward and elevate in case you are worried about forcing it.
Check the little gear on the base mine was broken at the weld so the gun wouldn't stay locked in place.

WOW! Just opened up the new 88 beast, what a piece! Great figures, awesome firepower, man I love this stuff:cool:. Glad I didn't sit on the fence on this one.

Hey KV, I don't think you should sit on the fence to long for this unique & limited 88 mm, otherwise you might miss out

Btw, it was good news that the gun is made from metal.

There ya go, OZ man, with that charm again :p

You talked me into picking up my second one.

So I'll blame it on you, and not my OCD this time.

I wounder if the wife will, buy it...before the house lands on me :D

Cheers,

Paul

A second one, well that's just greedy :p

This is no longer listed on the K & C web site, which means it's sold out, so if you want one, I wouldn't delay too much longer...

I just checked Treefrog and their are 29 in stock at 12:06 PM on Thursday, June 5 - so I wouldn't say it is a crisis.

However, they will dwindell down soon enough - so I agree if you want the piece you should make plans for it this month.

Great (or minor) minds must think alike. I talked to Mandi a few minutes ago and asked her the same thing but she had 30 at the time. That means one more sold:eek:

Just got mine in and it looks great! The gun is superb, as are the figures. :):)

Did anyone else notice the vehicle has 2007 on the bottom while the figures have 2008? Not an issue, just found it interesting! Maybe a testament to how long it took to develop it.

I know there was talk on limiting production for this piece. Does anyone know if that actually happened or not?

This piece was originally supposed to be released along side the Arnhem Release at the September, 2007 Chicago Show, as well as another German set not yet released about which I was also sworn to secrecy. I do not know why the release of the 88 was held up for several months into 2008, and I don't know why the other set is yet to be released (perhaps we will find out the answer about the other set at this year's Chicago show) . . .;)

a hint Louis ?:D

If I tell you, Andy will kill us both!

Louis:

Please, please, pretty please...at least we die with a smile in our face...I think it's the Feiseller Storch. That was planned in 2007 (remember the sneak peak?) but never got off because of some issue on the plane's spindy legs which was causing packaging nightmare. The other issue was the cost and Andy was qouted as saying "...loking for a manufacturer that can make it at a reasonable cost."

BTW, when is the Chicago show? Can you send some info on the event?

Look forward to being able to find out in person this year!

I would love the Storch to finally happen, but other than the expensive wood version, I have not heard anything about Andy finding a factory to produce it. It is not the german set described to me in the summer of 2007.

The Chicago Show is the OTSN show coming up Sunday, September 28, 2008. There is a thread about it on the Shows section of the forum.
