Hi George,

You know I'm a big fan of your 20mm battles, great stuff again.{bravo}}

If you are ever at a loss to know what to do next :rolleyes2::D may I suggest you enter the Sudan which would be just awesome in this scale! :wink2:^&cool

Cheers.

Jeff

It's nice seeing you once again at play George having a good hunch you've needed it after your hectic show schedules. Got a hunch you wouldn't venture into the Zulu War but I do go along with Jeff's suggestion of considering venturing into the Sudan. Thanks for bring us back in history in 20mm in a number of great battle scenes. Take care an be sure to say hi to your dad for me.................Joe aka The Lt.

Is that Paul Darnell of "Touching History"? He does great work.

Very nice painted figure collection also. Looks fantastic.

Walt

Impressive, as always, George. I can't get over how good the figures always look, especially the various Zouave units, including th 14th Brooklyn. I like the bursting shell explosions with the flame effect. -- Al

Thanks for the comments Jeff, Joe, Walt and Al.

At this point, there is only one company that makes 20mm Zulu War figures, no Sudan that I know of.

Always something to consider down the road, never say never.

Yes Walt, you are on point, it is Paul Darnell, sadly he's done with terrain and focusing on other things, which is a crying shame.......

George,

I think these might be right up your street. http://www.spencersmithminiatures.co.uk/html/colonial_wars.html

Always very nice to see your "mini" battles in 28mm George, especially when they are ACW. Very cool ^&cool

George

I've said it many times before but I am an avid fan of your "little" ACW armies. They take me way back to my war-gaming days except the figures I used then come no where near your little beauties.

Thanks Mike and Bob for commenting.

I recall as a young boy being given a copy of the American Heritage book on the American Civil War and within that book were a series of battle maps drawn by David Greenspan using thousands of miniature soldiers as troop unit markers as opposed to blocks as was usually the case, which really brought the battles to life and gave the viewer a birds eye view of the actual battle.

Fast forward 40 years later and I'm doing the same thing only with miniatures.

And loving every second of it.
