Below is a picture of Don Troiani's painting entitled "The Emmitsburg Road" on the 3rd day at Gettysburg. I have always considered that the painting perfectly illustrates how that stout post-and-rail fence-which straddled both sides of the road- became a serious impediment to the Confederate advance toward the Federal line atop Cemetery Ridge. Crossing that road is when the real carnage began.
Furthermore, I have always wanted to depict this painting using TS figures. But to do it true justice was simply not possible until the recent release of the four WB ACW fence sets.
Subsequently, following the purchase of aforementioned sets here are a few shots of an attempt of a pale imitation of Troiani's stunning painting.
