Most display cabinets do have a few shelves only with large empty space between them, relatively to our 54 to 60mm miniatures. To use the given space better you will have to add shelves or maybe use some lucite or acrylic risers. I got one last week to try it and I think it makes for a nice effect, seeing those figures on different levels. Here are a few samples with pieces from my collection.

Those displays look really great, Konrad. The custom painted figures are beautiful. -- Al

Excellent! A really great idea. Where did you find them? Can you fit these in a cabinet to keep the dust off?

Randy

Randy,
the dimensions of the stand are only 11 1/2" wide by 7 1/2" deep and the highest platform is at 6 3/4", so they will fit easily in any display cabinet.
I would have the stand shown in a small curio cabinet I have, but it is a real pain to take decent pictures with the mirrored background.
I got this one from a dealer on ebay. If you search for "lucite risers" it will be the first one to pop up.

Konrad,

That's a very neat idea! I agree with Al. your figures look wonderful.

Those have got to be the most beautifully painted glossy figures I have ever seen. Absolutely spectacular!:cool::cool::cool::cool:

What a great display idea! That would work really well for a large collection that covers many different eras, periods, ect.

I think these work especially well for the collectors of glossy figures. In a mirrored, lighted cabinet they even enhance the overall "shine" :)
Got to keep them dustfree though ;)

These look great Konrad. Thanks for the tip. Might order one up as I believe with these measurements they would fit into my cabinets perfectly.

Hi Konrad,

That is a terrific way to display your figures! I am very impressed with the effect. The risers you have chosen seem to highlight each figure instead of seeing a mass of them on a single level. Congratulations for a wonderful enhancement!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

EXCELLENT idea!! What a great way to maximize space and show off some great figures. Well done!

Really nice display but it would scare me to display anything on those for fear of falling.

great idea but, I am with a few on here it would always be in my mind about items falling

They look like they have substancial bases so toppling may not occur, guess it depends on what you have in your collection. Perhaps a smidgen of tacky wax or double stick tape would help.

hi Konrad,

Can you let me know where you found these displays? I think they would work very well with my space issues.

Dave
