A little late to the party, but I finally got my Tiger, too! (1 Viewer)

It took a little longer than usual, but my War Park Normandy Tiger arrived yesterday… It’s definitely a beast! I love the attention to detail and the fact it came with a removable MG and mount, so one doesn’t have to exclusively use the NOR022 figure to have an Mg mounted on the tank. The new crew figure is great as well! My only gripe is that the paint scheme is too clean/bright and doesn’t have the more muted look even other War Park vehicles have. I may decide to give it a light brown wash in order to better blend the colors and highlight the zimerit a little more. Otherwise, it’s a fantastic model and well worth the price!

It sure is a great tank!

I was thinking the same thing…apply a ‘dirty wash’ to give it a ‘been there, done that’ battlefield look.

I just received my War Park Tiger as well. I think I'm up to six War Park Tigers now.

I've got mixed thoughts on this one. The camo colors are a little bright for my tastes and the camo pattern is a little too "hard edge" for me. I think I would have preferred the slightly darker colors and soft edge sprayed camo treatment as seen on the War Park Puma a better. My only other gripe is the weathering wash used on the road wheels, that I am not a fan of. The wash is very uniform and completely covers ever single wheel, such that it makes the wheels look like a completely different color of Dunkelgelb than the Dunkelgelb on the hull and turret, rather than just dirty/dusty Dunkelgelb on the wheels. I'd also like War Park to remove some of the side mudguards, to give it a more battle worn look.

Again, nice model overall. Just some constructive criticism for War Park, as I'm sure this is not the last Tiger we'll see from them.

Great and accurate review from one of the most armor knowledgeable members of this forum.

Over the last couple days, I attempted some basic weathering on my War Park Normandy Tiger using some filters and washes to better blend colors and reduce the bright/bleached look of the camouflage as seen on the stock model. I used a couple Ammo Mig filters and washes intended for specifically German 3-tone camouflage. I did not do any further effects like mud or dust.

In any event, I think I succeeded in toning down the overall brightness, even if just a little… Some before and after pics are posted below and were taken under similar lighting conditions.

What does everyone else think? Again, it’s a slight, but noticeable, difference.

Nice ! Looks like you nailed it. Mine is on the bench waiting for me to take a deep breath and weather it some too

Thanks Mike! I can’t wait to see your results!

It’s always a tough call having to fix a premium model like this as you don’t want to over do the weathering and ruin the model. I was tempted to go further and add more weathering effects on my Tiger, but decided not to. The application of several layers of a filter followed by a few applications of the wash was enough to darken the camouflage a little bit. Further, I’d recommend starting on the underside to see how things go - that way if there’s a mistake, it’s not visible.
