Just perusing the latest addition, and considering trying to convince my wife I need an RAF control tower, when I spot some words from Andy 'Plans are well developed for two more RAF fighters to take to the skies in 2012 ' . Now I wonder which two they will be? I would just love a Bolton Paul Defiant but Andy told me last year it may work out on the expensive side as its a little bigger. I know a lot of folk would like a D Day striped later Mk Spitfire, and I would too, but we've had two Spits already. A Hurricane MkII D ' Tin opener ' would be my favourite after a BPD, but that means moving the RAF into the Desert and all the support figures,vehicles etc. So having said all that it will be interesting to see which one K&C go for.

I also see a Fire truck is on the way and other RAF vehicle surprises in 2012. Going to be another good year for collecting the boys in blue.:cool:

Mate, it's obviously going to be a Harrier and a Tornado, for when Andy revitaises the SF series.

When you've convinced your wife about purchasing the control tower please forward me your script..............I'll need it too!!! {sm4} That control tower looks like a must.....but it'll be $$$$$! If I had to guess on what two RAF fighters we'll see I'd say we are moving the RAF to the desert. I suppose D-Day is a possibility but my bet is on a desert Hurricane and a P-40 Kittyhawk. The later would sorely tempt me, I just like that mean shark mouth :mad: on the front of that bird. Like the idea of a firetruck. I wonder if we are in store for a silver U.S. warbird?

I really want that tower too. Have no idea where to put it and terrified of the cost, but I it will be hard to resist it. I was hoping for a smaller tower, but a tower is a tower.

Safe bet would be a DK Kittyhawk and a Hurricane but for me for shock value and something different I would like to see Gloster Meteor MK3 Britain first jet fighter on a stand shooting down a V1 , a must is a late war Spitfire MK XIVE or a RAF D-Day P-51C

Late war brit spit would be a great release. Don't know what the cost of the tower is and, it looks nice but, I am not keen on the windows or, lack of. I thought we had moved passed this type of detail especially as its a hand made item. I would have liked to have seen some medium even, if not glass, then an alternative, strong acetate or similar with matt black plastic or card behind to at least give the impression it was real.

If anyone has an email for Chris Munro at Soldier Gallery could they let me know please?:)

With two more planes, two vehicles and a fire truck , and no doubt more figures....looks like the RAF will be getting another excellent wave of releases in 2012. I also suspect there are some great releases on the way for Normandy this year, so I'm thinking these two ranges and the Bomb squad will be getting the majority of my budget next year.{bravo}}

Hi Guys,

Me again! K&C just received our first flotilla of “SAND PEBBLE” gunboats from our mate Chris Munro of The AMERICAN MODEL DOCKYARD” in Cambria, California this morning.

All four ships arrived safe, sound and in fine “Bristol” fashion in Hong Kong. Each one carefully packed in its own hand-made wooden case and ready for display. Of the four we ordered two are already pre-sold to K&C collectors in Hong Kong, one is for Gordon to display in our HK store in Pacific Place and the remaining one ready to “sail out” at a moment’s notice.

To anyone who is considering one of these fine hand-built models I cannot recommend them highly enough… they are simply superb! Chris is a true artist and a great model ship builder.

To purchase direct from “The American Model Dockyard” simply contact Chris at 805-927-3804 or email him at soldiergallery@attt.net.

Thanks again… best wishes and… happy sailing!

Andy C.
