Thought i might share some pics of a little Dark Ages Battle i had set up this week.
Most of these are plastics plus some Conte castings that i painted.
and there are a couple of pre-painted ones too

Superb painting! I take it most of these are from the plastic sets in the Warlord range? Do you have the tower?

Thanks jeff...nope don't have the tower (im afraid i missed out on all the Playsets.
The Plastics are figures i picked up here and there (I still have a bunch more to paint.
The single color playset castings i picked up from old RC on Ebay.

Great collection and photos. The wooden walls are appropriate too. I have both the Normans and Vikings from Conte, but I haven't painted them.

Spitfrnd all the Normans are Conte but there are some EMHAR Vikings in there.
I still need to paint more of them and i hope EMHAR Make more sets there sculpting is excellent.
Fubar...we could meet up at Hawaii thats about half way or maybe one day visit your Blackcat Foundry for some serious wargaming and a few Beer's .

Hi Ragnar nice dio like the subject dont see vikings around much, love the detail of the wooden fort. Looks like the defenders will struggle to keep the vikings out. Regards John

As to who would win there are more Vikings so this small band of Norman Knights.
are just trying to hold them off so the rest of the armie can get behind the Castle walls and get kitted out.
I have to admit i do like the Normans with there long mail coats.

Very nice pictures of your battle scene. I got my start in this hobby by collecting the Conte Warlord Range. Sold it all for other interests. Always a favorite though. You have done an excellent job painting your figures. Thnaks for sharing with us.
