I would like to see tank crewman different from the ones released with the tanks offered as a set or individually. It would be great if they were in a different pose, however even a different uniform would be great as well. I specifically would like the half or quarter figures that could be used in the different vehicles. An example, the October dispatch Jagpanzer IV could use a non winter commander as an option. It would give more flexibility and variety with dioramas and individual vehicles. It may give the incentive to get multiples of the same vehicles (which I have been know to do).
I believe that a generic winter, and cammo version of German tankers, a winter and non-winter US tankers, and the same for brit tankers with berets and with helmets.
Many of these figures exist with other sets, it shouldn't be much of a stretch to re-release the figures by themselves. I am not in sales and marketing so I probably don't understand the issues involved. Just my two cents.

I like the idea of all sorts of half body tank crew in all manner of uniforms. This would allow for multiples of the vehicles for dioramas etc and would be very welcome.

Sounds like a good idea. A set of five 1/2 and 3/4 figures for $100? A winter set and a summer set

I agree and on top of that different sets of tank cleaning and maintenance teams...

agree with you all.

it reminds me of the 1/6 figures, where they (DID, Dragon) sell separate headsets for collectors variation.

Add me to the 'all in favour' re 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 figures.

Now you guys know why I cast my own figures. that way I can have what I want when I want it:(

Didn't K&C release a set of Tank crew figures not to long ago.

Clarification:

Tank crewman that fit in the hatches 1/4body 1/2body 3/4 body crewman.

We knew that :D But is there really much demand for 1/4 1/2 and 3/4 figures? All tanks come with some crew. And in combat mode the hatches except for the turret hatch are closed. And only a few uncrewed hatches on K&C models open anyway. Tanks at rest usually have the crew standing outside.

I guess a set of summer and winter part figures could work. But I do not think it would be for me. I'm ok with the models as they are aside from the 2 sets of standing tankers.

Tank crewmen enhance the piece.......It seems as though the new KC tanks recently coming out have fewer and fewer crew members unfortunately......My thoughts only I guess......

I think someone had mentioned that the reasoning behind that may be to keep cost down. I don't mind the occasional armored vehicle with a single crew member but I prefer to see a crew of 3 or more. With that said I think K&C has done good with their crew selection in the past on vehicles such as the Hummel, Flakpanzer etc... I really couldn't see myself going out to buy a another crew for the vehicle unless I absolutely hated the one that it came with, which is yet to happen. As far as buying 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 crew figures I just wouldn't buy them not my cup of tea thats only my opinion.

You are right that DD88 is available and is a fine piece - I'm glad to have one. However two of the figures are "mechanics" or crewmen performing maintenance. I think the request here is for some more crewmen who are in the vehicle. Maybe some single figures of tank crew (at least for the US). If I really want a different figure in the hatch I might think about cutting a single figure but I can't buy an $85 set fot a tank commander who wouldn't look good in the hatch anyway. A generic American TC that would be in the $29-32 figure series. No slung small arms, maybe a binocular or some observing pose. Those of us who really want a 1/2 figure are free to cut him down and place him in the tank of our choice, other collectors can leave him complete and pose him beside a tank, SP gun or the M26 recovery vehicle.

I mentioned this idea earlier in a suggestion poll but to reiterate, I like the fact tanks are coming with fewer figures to likely keep prices in check. I do think manufacturing tank crews separately whether they be full, half or quarter figures would be great as it gives collectors choice in their displays.
