Hi guys,
i would just like to say hi to you all, i'm new to the board. I got 2 or 3 william brit soldiers when i was younger and never continued collecting until a shop close to my house opened and i was exposed to the marvelous world of toy soldiers. I started collection napolionic from frontlline and now i'm collecting K&K. Wow what a great company, i love the detail and i love how historicaly accurate these figures are. I'm addicted, spending several hundred dollars each week on them (don't tell my girlfriend!) I also collect Del prado on the side ;)

So i hope to talk to all of you and get to know you! ;)

P.S. who the hell is andy i see this nick everywhere....

Welcome to the forum Nicholas. After looking through a good few months worth of posts, I don't think you're on your own with keeping purchases from the all knowing, all seeing other half.

Welcome aboard Nicholas. Andy is not just the owner of K&C, he's a collector himself, and a great friend to those of us who have had the opportunity to get to know him over the years. I you can get to the London Show the first weekend in December, the Westcoaster (California) in the first weekend in March, the New York Symposium in the second weekend in March, you can meet Andy in person. He is a really great guy, a lot of fun to have a couple of drinks and B.S. with.

Welcome, and just a suggestion. Pace your purchases and never buy on impulse. Always ask yourself if you absolutely need that set, because it will surely happen that when you are given that rare chance to buy the set to die for, you will be flat broke and sorry for making those earlier not thought out choices. Other than that, enjoy your collecting..........Michael :D
 
Welcome Nicholas: Hope you enjoy the forum. Great guys here and plenty of understanding wives and girlfriends.;) Keep from buying everything unless you got deep pockets. Sounds like your girlfriend will have competition with K&C. Pete and Shannon along with Brad's help run a decent forum. Leadmen

As for the Girlfriend, i'm lucky because i started collecting the eaglemoss Lord of the rings figures, and she absolutely loves Lord of the rings, so now shes kind of ok with my obssession :p

Just wait until you sell those LOR figures to buy the newest releases of toy soldiers...... we will see how ok she is then...:p

Yep hope you get a lot of enjoyment from this forum Nicolas.Its great for military chat,news and of course conversing with the young,talented,gifted,good looking people like Andy and Tony from K&C UK.Of course all the nice things i've just said about them have nothing whatever to do with the fact that myself and distinguished others on this forum are desperate for K&C to make British Paras again!.Pure coincidence you understand,pure coincidence.

Also with posts from Brad,Louis,Oz and many others i find i often learn stuff i never knew(how to spend more money the wife says).So welcome aboard.

Did i mention British Paras Please?

I also collect frontline and K&C napoleonics and del prado,britains,plastics,kits and what ever elses looks good to me, which unfortunatly is just about everything!!!:p which can be tough on the wallet.
