Hi All,

I have finally decided to make a new home for my Germans as they have been on the same display/diorama for 5 years.

The base is 12 mm plywood and packing foam glue down and shaped, start time was 6.00 pm Wednesday afternoon & cut off is 8.30 pm each night.

Thursday nights progress was slow, as stone work didn't won't play ball.

Ignore the green paint, its just there for planning.

This is shaping up really well and I love the bridge facade.

Tom

Today's progress was slow again, my son came down stairs to check on how things were shaping up and suggested the tower would make a good MG nest.

The stone work is a plastic kit washed in a heavy coat of grey & the excess wiped off, i'm not 100% sold on the top half but we will see how it pans out.

Seems like you are going ahead in leaps and bounds, really taking shape now. Robin.

Sundays progress, i worked on the top left corner today making a few trees.

I used woodlands scenics fall mix for the foliage and a piece of balsa wood dowel for the trunk.

I drilled a hole through the center of the trunk and hot glued woodlands kit into it.

Every time I talk to you & Bob I get fired up to go big or go home.:salute::

I like the trees, they look very realistic. Well done and the rest of the diorama looks great too. Regards Greg.

Monday night,

I made a couple more trees for the left hand side and started on the back right hand side.

I will make a metal looking gate for the stone wall as well as some railings for the top.

Matt
