Members of the 2nd Battalion, 24th Regiment of Foot, Brecon, Wales December 25, 1877. In 1878, they would be sent to South Africa and as they say "The rest is history".

Brrrrr!!

That picture brought back a few memories for another Welsh soldier - and of Derrin Lines in Brecon - around 100 years or so later. The only couple of differences being - that young soldier was wearing BD - and the snow would have been up to the top of the arch in your beautiful picture Randy!
