Abenaki Village Diorama (1 Viewer)

Wasn't aware you started this thread last night and just got done enjoying the individual photos and scenes. Once again my lad from the Lone Star State you've provided us with another of your creatative works. Very nicely done Michael....The Lt.

thank you...

Papa...

Ken...the pot was bought from Hobby Lobby Craft Stores...they sell a lot of doll house stuff...in polished metal...I painted it black, bent some wire and stuck some sticks in the ground...the fireplace...seems like it was JG or Frontline...I swear I don't remember...maybe someone can identify...it may have come from...Compton Creel's "Jericho Toy Soldier Studio"...a dealer from the San Antonio show last year...I just don't remember.

Pete...the animals are K&C #LoJ004...Life of Jesus series...Treefrog has them on their site...

I'm still putting up more pictures...check in later...

Wow, Mike!! I'm an accountant and with it being tax season, I've been away from the forum for a while.......but what a way for me to return and see your fantastic set up!!! You did your usual awesome job.

The fire that Franxinus asked about is from Build-a-rama and TF sells them--I got mine from them a few years ago.

I can't wait to see the other pics that you'll post later. Keep up the great work!

Mark

Simply Outstanding!!!

OK, where did you get the pot!!!

Ok, where did you get the fire!!!

Ken...

here are some close ups...

the pot looks larger over the fire...

I put Jenkins basket next to it to show you the real size...

the Indian looks like he is cooking a small porpoise...hehehe...

Good point...he does seem to have a theme and a lot of figures blend to other series very well...

I never thought I would own so many "civilian" figures not in "action" poses...

but he has made a lot...Ranger whalers, St. Francis merry grenadiers, St. Francis colonial civilians, St. Francis hunters/gatherers, B of M wagoners, lacrosse players...etc...

This started as a cow...but now it's a bear...and a very big one at that...

I trimmed it down some...

then looked up bears on the Internet...

some weighed almost 2,000 pounds...

this may be the Guinness record holder...hehehehe:eek:

the Frenchman looks pretty amazed...
