Over the last 20 years the movies listed above have won the Academy Award for Best Picture.

Which of the above have you never seen?

Obviously there may be some that you have no interest in seeing and others that you wish you have but haven't got around to.

Cough it up boys, which ones haven't you seen?

N.B.
1. You can vote for more than one movie.
2. You can see what others have voted for by clicking onto the number next to each poll option.

Sorry but I've seen them all. Maybe you should add an option for I've seen them all.

jazzeum, did you see all those movies because you're a movie buff or because the Best Picture tag sucked you in?

Probably a little of both. The ones I saw because they won the award were Shakespeare in Love, American Beauty, Chicago (hated it), Million Dollar Baby and No Country for Old Men.

As toy soldier collectors it only stands to reason that we would enjoy "Warries" more than most but if you have a look at the "Best Picture" winners since the awards began it's amazing how many of those films are actually "Warries".

Your forgetting another movie called there will be blood.

What not even a rental from a DVD store? Blockbuster has a great plan where you can keep movies as long as you like, not be under the gun to watch it in two days.

I never rent DVD's - I usually buy them off of Amazon, most recently "The Battle of Britain". Sadly it arrived two weeks ago, and I haven't had time to even remove it from the plastic wrap. The only DVD's that ever get watched around here involve educational cartoons for my rug rats.:p

Louis.......Oh come on! Have you never enjoyed the Blockbuster experience?

When you quietly walk thru the door......they all yell "Hi" which usually scares

the hell out of you!

In their massive New Release section are "Blockbuster Exclusives" titles so

bad other rental places won't carry them! Old titles re-released and designed

to catch you......(I picked up a Jet Lee title that looked interesting......when

speaking to the daughter I learned it had been released in 1998:eek:)

And my favorite about 35 Steven Segal titles which went straight to DVD. I

used to be a big Steven Segal fan....before he began wearing a girdle (he

must be 350lbs now).

Lastely you miss being chastised by the staff:eek: I am in their "Club" so I

get special deals such as come in today and rent any movie for $2.99.....

being in this club also allows me to get a free library (old crappy) movie if I

rent a regular movie Mon-Wen.

When you walk up to the counter with your two movies and hand them the

coupon they announce "YOU CAN'T USE THIS WITH ANY OTHER OFFER"

I always enjoy being rebuked by the staff.

I always reply......."Well then I guess you can just put it back":D

See what your missing!

Another favorite of mine......when you make a purchase and they ask you

"Would you like a bag"? I always reply....."No, just toss it out the door and I

will chase after it":D

You are too funny NJJA; haven't walked into a Blockbuster for three years and you just brought back all the reasons why.

The only movie I did not see on that list is the 1998 winner; The Departed is in my top ten movies of all time.................

The only one I have not seen is No Country for Old Men -but there are at least six on the list I wish I hadn't seen-A description of "pretty dreadful" immediately comes to mind and God knows how the academy members cast their votes-it's got to be rigged either that or these so-called voting actors/directors etc know diddlysquat on what constitutes a great movie

No I shall not mention what was on my "dreadful" list as they maybe some forum members favorites.

The one film I have not seen from the list is for the very good reason that a couple of pals both said that the ending of this movie is such a big let down they thought of asking for their money back-this is now reflected in DVD sales of the movie here in the UK (only being released here a month ago) is now appearing in the bargain bin. Always a good sign of a not so good movie let alone an Academy Award Winner if you get my drift.

Watch for "There will be blood" heading in the same direction- which has to be the most pointless film I have ever seen in the last 20 years and that includes the Seagal epics.

I've only seen 4 out of the 20 movies listed and have no interest in seeing the remaining 16.
