The $2,000 price was posted on Bill Sager's website.

Be that as it may, when K & C has posted photos before of other planes (such as the Lancaster(s))and/or mentioned the price there was never any controversy about the price. The price is the price. Some can afford and some can't. Maybe you don't like the price but that's just the way it is. Why all this testiness? ^&confuse

Hmmmm... I'll stick to my 1:48 scale planes:)..the K&C versions are very beautiful, and if I had the extra coin I would be all in, but alas I don't so solves that problem, I do look forward to seeing some pics whoever adds them to ther collection...Louis? Lawrence?? any takers on here yet?...Sammy

They are absolutley beautiful!!! Just checked and there is no indication of their existence or price in K&C's site warbird section. Maybe they will show up over the next days. Anyway, the price tag will be heavy... Not as big as a US$ 2750,00 Lancaster, but bigger than a US$ 750,00 Whirlwind, to name 2 existing birds in that section. I'd love to takeoff in the Battle of Britain...{sm4}

Superb aircraft cobber. Both versions look fantastic. A great credit to the skills of the K&C production team. At USD$1,995 a fair price for such a great piece. My "G" for George Lancaster takes pride of place in my K&C collection. Magnificient British aircraft crewed by valiant Aussies.:smile2:
I wish to point out to my FL friends^&grin who have jumped onto this thread about price that these planes are the wooden version (not poly range) and are all hand crafted.
As you blokes keep telling us about FL that they are better scuplted, painted and better poses hence the high price tag, then I say to you these planes are the "St. Petersburg" collection of the K&C range and are priced accordingly. Each being hand made in a limited production run.
I like the Desert version best but cannot make up my mind. Might have to buy both{sm4}

Well said mate. These are better than St. Petersburg. These are museum quality. Generally, you can't appreciate the quality until you have one in your hand.
 
I'll be curious to see the price of the WWI planes. Jenkins is selling them for $200 and about $30 for the pilot.
 
Gentlemen,

Also note that the JU 52, also on the way, is priced at $2500.00 for one plane in either Richthofen, Europe, or Winter paint.

These are wooden 1:30 scale planes with detailed interiors. Yes they are expensive, but well worth it if you can afford it. Anyone know the production numbers? I'm guessing the 10-20 range for each paint scheme.
 
There's only one thing wrong with this in some peoples mind.....the brand name:mad:
 
These models place collecting in a totally separate league of their own. Hats off to those collectors buying these. If a polystone version of the JU-52 came out for around the $400.00 to $500.00 range I would also take the plunge {sm3}

Well said mate i find it funny how I got banned from the FL thread for baiting (Supposedly) etc,etc but its ok for the same people to come over here and do it over and over and over again,got me buggered but Howard buy 2 of each off the desert version and i will pay you off weekly.....................{sm5}
 
Superb looking aircraft, they really do look very well
made indeed. K&C aircraft are excellent release both in wooden and polystone and I've no doubt these will sell Lickety split.

Cobber, Buddy, Pal. Now you know you not allowed to say that, but I enjoyed every mintue of it. ^&grin^&grin Thats an extra couple of beers I owe you at the K&C Dinner on 7th June in beautiful down town Brisbane.
We will discuss the purchase of the Heinkel over numerous beers with Simmo and Oz.:smile2::smile2: Might even let Andy get in on the conversation about a layby plan.
