I know WB has in the past done some sets featuring dead and wounded figures.I wonder if I could please ask if we could have proper dedicated sets of dead troops from both sides that we could purchase multiples of to create really lifelike scenes,so terrible were the casualties in this conflict that I feel we need them to get that realistic feel to our dio's,conte have done it and I'm sure WB could do a fine job.

I am sure they will get to them Rob, although we are still waiting for dead Zulus and members of the 24th.

I hope so Scott,I think they would be a cool addition to the range.I know some collectors are not keen on dead figures but I think they are vital for realism:cool:

I have to agree with you 100% Rob. It is a grim reality of any war !!

This is something that I have been asking for for a long time now. Much, much needed.

This is the second thread I have found where you are extolling "bring out the dead"-Who are you Burke or Hare? :D

A large scale battle diorama without dead and wounded just doesn't look right, in my opinion. We can never get too many of these. And so few dead figures have been available over the years. I have tons of casualties in my contantly growing Pickett's Charge diorama. If not, it might be mistaken for Pickett's Parade to the Wall.

6thW-Absolutely agree casualties are not just a must have for any ACW collector they are a downright necessity especially when depicting your particular scenario.

Interesting comment you made in the last part of your post-and no doubt you know- but as Hancock and some of his officers of II Corps watched Picketts Virginians begin their march up Cemetery Ridge one of them remarked

"It is as if they are assembled for a grand parade-magnificent"

To which Hancock added "Magnificent madness"

I'll say Hare Bob,I don't like being called a Burke mate because the Cockney ryming slang for it is very very rude!:D;)
