ACW - Horsing Around Outside (2 Viewers)

Excellent photographs and nice realistic setting. Thanks for posting your scenes.

Mike: Nice vignette. It speaks volumes to the fact that more mounted WB ACW cavalry inventory is needed. Those three mounted Yanks are splendid... light years ahead of the first generation WB ACW Union Cavalry much like last years dismounted depictions are the gold standard compared to the previous two three figure dismounted Yankee sets. But seeing WB crank out such great quality for Cavalry gives encouragement to address the other side of the ledger: Specificallly we need more Confederate Cavalry so that masters like yourself and UK Reb can craft some first rate dioramas that celebrate the greatest cavalry battles in history. Accordingly I think that splendid 2011 Collectors Club dismounted 1st Virginia Cavalry trooper currently sitting alone in my curio needs about five or six reinforcements to complete that circa 1861 look. Heck you could position the dismounted 1st Virginians in front of the mounted line of ten previous WB releases and depict a plausible "Ride around McClellan" flair to a diorama circa June 1862.From there a solid rollout of at least five or six mounted Rebs are in huge need to supplement the two figures you depict in this vignette. I know Richard and Ken are in the midst of addressing this gaping hole in their ACW line so the next twelve months or so should yield a nice catch up to the most neglected branch and side in their ACW series.
