Does anyone know about this figure? I have not found it as an issue in any of the WB 1st Gear Catalogs? It is not part of the new wounded set in the foreground. I plan plan to add the sets to my military medics collection and recreate this scene (probably with medical tents rather than the barn) and would like to find this figure.

Just saw this posting Randy. Scott is correct. Its a figure from the Jackson in the Valley series set #17888 Union Infantry in Sack Coats Routing #1 - Although retired both 17888 and 17897 are somewhat easy to find. It appears that TF, Sierra, and Old Toy Soldier Home all have both sets in stock. I would suspect that the Hobby Bunker does too.

Many thanks to all the Sherlock Holmes on the forum. You guys were able to out-research someone who did it professionally for over 30 years so my praise and appreciation goes out to you all.

Randy

P.S. The forum is kind of like a global reference desk when you stop and think of it:)

If you can ever get your hands on Britains 17292 from 2001, you will have another very good piece to go with this diorama. It has two 140th PA soldiers carrying a wounded comrade, arms draped over their shoulders. I am planning on setting mine up with either the barn or house (or both) and some tents. These new Britains sets are the most exciting Civil War items to come along in a while, in my opinion.

This is the three figure set in the foreground of this shot referred to by 6thW (slightly out of focus as I was shooting the Reb dead and wounded in the background) but I agree with our colleague it would indeed be a fine piece to go with your field hospital collection
