Felt like massing some Confederate troops together this afternoon. Shown here are my FL Confederates all in the front row. The back row are WB & Conte Rebs.
:) Mike

. . . . and the Union troops watched in amazement as the long lines of Confederates came out of the woodline on Seminary Ridge in an almost perfect parade formation . . . . . Pickett's Charge had begun . . . .

Fantastic Mike. All companies seem to work well together. Is the base and everything else what Ken made specially for you?

Brad

Nice job Mike, the figures look great mixed together, I enjoyed looking through the pictures and figuring out what figures go with what manufacturer..................the beginning of the end actually.................

Thank you Brad. Actually I used two bases butted up against each other for these pics. In the foreground is the WB "Chosen Ground" base and in the background is the "Edge of the Forest" base. Both of these bases are my favorites to use for many small photo shots and both were made by Ken and Ericka Osen. The two trees in the foreground are JG Miniature Large Oaks.

Glad you enjoyed the photos George. The common thread that the back row has is that these figures were all originally sculpted by Ken Osen. If you had trouble recognising some of them its because several are custom commissions that I had Ken do for me and as such are one-of-a-kinds. One of my favorites is the mounted Confederate officer which is a custom conversion of the WB mounted Sandie Pendleton figure.

Very nice!!! Now are these Picketts or Pettigrew's?

Thanks Dan . . . . I'll let the imagination of the viewer decide as to whether these gentlemen in Gray are Pickett's Virginians or Pettigrew's North Carolinians . . .
:) Mike

Thanks my Texian friend. With a little imagination you can almost hear them coming . . .
:) Mike

I think I do hear them my Cheeseheadian amigo..the ground is trembling under my feet...no wait...that's an 18 wheeler driving by my house...

I was just thinking about you...always do when I'm stumped for planning the evening's menu...everytime I talk to you I want to be eating dinner at your house...well...at least a pre-dieting Mike's house...those were the good old days huh...

Funny you should mention a menu . . . . Went to the grocery this morning for some supplies. I will be making Chili Verde with pulled pork carnitas for this weekend . . . all from scratch of course. Its a three-day process but OMG is it worth the effort.

Here's another photo of the group using a different background . . . .

I like that background very much Mike. Awesome that you've got some one of a kind figures in your collection.

Looking forward to a huge battle all laid out by you using loads of figures, some of Kens boards and terrain and Johns trees.................

Mike, the Britians and First Legion mix really well in your group shots. Also, the inclusion of the one-of-a-kind pieces make this group stand out even more. This is a great beginning, as we all know you will have more pics on the way soon!

I've gotta blame you, Bob and Joe for getting me interested in collecting ACW figures :D

OK mine are of the glossy variety but I love 'em :salute::

Cheers and keep these great pictures coming

Wow Mike, awesome dio and pictures. I've resisted the ACW temptation, but scenes like this make it VERY difficult to maintain discipline.
