I also received today ACW #31077 Artillery Crewman in Shirt Sleeves w/Fuse Pouch. This figure could be used as either Union or Confederate. Its nice now to have a selection of artillery crew men in their shirt sleeves and with different hats rather that forage caps. Makes them look like they are into the hot, dirty toil of working the guns and the different hats show how the soldiers tried to personalize their uniform look. I will be duplicating this figure also, perhaps re-painting his trousers butternut for a more Rebel looking appearance.

Nice pic Mike! Rec'd my artillery fig yesterday. THinking of painting the hat black to be more of a union piece.

Thanks Terp152. This figure is certainly versatile. Could go either way for Union or Reb as is, or could be tweaked easily with a minimal re-paint of hat or trousers.

Nice set up again Mike. This artillery crew has ended up being my favorite so far and the addition of the two extra crewmen looks good. I am sure the new Yankee set coming your way soon will help you to build your 6 gun battery.

I once counted how many guns there would be for both CSA and USA if one used every WBritain matt gun crew from the civil war, including special art of war sets, and giving each side one of each gun that was produced individually (with a crew from the new single figs) and all the artillery command sets. Also each side got both the limber and caisson, by switching the riders. I think we had close to 20 guns! I really want to see THAT someday!^&grin
