Hi All,
I thought some of you might like to see a conversion I just finished. To add to my Federal artillery battery I converted W. Britain Confederate Parrot Rifle set #31098 to Yankees. Although this set was originally destined for my personal collection, it is headed to another collector tomorrow.
The shoulder straps were removed from the figures and then the red tape trim was added to the shell jackets. Cuff buttons and some collar buttons were also added. Photographic evidence and surviving garments often exhibit cut down, or shortened collars on Federal Artillery shell jackets. This made the conversions a bit easier from Confederate depot jackets.
The figures were given a basic repaint with Vallejo and Andrea acrylic paints, then sealed with coat of Testor's clear Dullcoat.
