Gentlemen

Maybe its my CIA training ;) or just being a good watchful lobbyist - but, after careful review of the latest K&C Desert Wars Flyer - you will see two interesting things.

1) An Artist Proof of a Panzer IV - Ausf. E and a photo of a burning Panzer IV - Ausf. E as a British Crusader Tank passes by it.

2) A WWII Photo of a ITALIAN m13/40 TANK !

Now the article which talks about the desert war really doesnt talk directly about either of these German or Italian Tanks - so they just sit there stuck out in the open...hmmmm....why?

Well Friends - it is my belife that Mr. Andy - Grand PuBA of K&C - plans to release these TANKS in the up comming months - maybe weeks?

YES - THATS RIGHT - ITALIAN TANKS and a NEW GERMAN PANZER ! :eek:

Call me crazy (or Napoleon) if you want - but, why were these vehicles highlighted without direct reference? Isnt it time for some more ARMOR for the Africa Korps?? Didnt we at one time hear about "more Italians" coming....

One more thing - if this hasnt just rocked your world .... What about that British Crusader in the photograph passing the Panzer IV - E ?? Perhaps BRITISH ARMOR IS ON THE WAY ?? :eek: :eek: How about that my british commrades?? Doesnt that just get your nickers up? :D

Ron.....all you are doing is getting John G. all work up about more desert items based on some marketing photos in a flyer......tease! :rolleyes:
 
So we narrowed the next AK release down to either Germans, Brits, or Italians. That has to be CIA level training. :)

Hasn't this sort of thing happened before where there is an occasional picture that creeps into the catalogs and it leads us to make inferences and assumptions??

Wouldn't that sort of be like deceptive propaganda/ misinformation a la the CIA :) in an attempt to beguile your enemy (or customer) into thinking one thing is going to happen when in fact something else occurs.

I haven't bought any AK sets yet- the 10.5 gun has me interested and if a Crusader surfaces, that would be a sell for me.

Ron,

You are so far off of the next desert release that you couldn't find it with a map, a compass and a telescope. I happen to know what the next desert release is, and none of the above are included.

Capitlron, while I do not have the inside infomration tha Louis has I will not that over the years there have been several catalogs with pictures and drawings of soldiers and tanks that have never come out.

I will say though that my British troops could sure use some armor to stand agains Rommel.

I look forward to whatever is coming out next. Louis any hints on when the next soldiers or tanks are coming out?

I would think it would have to be armour for the
poor old eighth army, or dare I say it an LRDG truck,
you only have to look at the interest in the old LRDG tamiya
kits to know this is one piece that is crying out to be made ;) ,

Now, now, now, everything seem to come into the picture. I think Vandilay nailed it right to the head. You see, some months ago, I sold my hard to find/discontinued Tamiya LRDG Truck to Steven Chong. As everyone knows, Steven is quite close to Andy. In one of his comment in the e-mail, he asked me what I want to see in an LRDG. I remember replying..."everything you see in the Tamiya model is simply perfect. "

But then, again, Steven is also close to Rick W. Figarti so it's possible that Rick may also produce the LRDG Truck. In one of the recent e-mail from Rick, he tried to discourage Brad fro selling his Figarti SAS Jeep. He stressed "to trust" him without giving any reason why. I could only surmise that the LRDG Truck will complement the existing Figarti SAS Jeep.

So, I believe that an LRDG Truck is looming on the horizon and the only questions is, will it be KC or Figarti?

I remember a thread in the forum from Andy and Rick that they will "coordinate their production releases so as not to duplicate products in the marketplace" (sic).

My gut-feeling is it's Figarti. If you look at Figarti's recent releases the scale it uses is officially 1/32 but the output is more on 1/31 (e.g. Tiger Tank, M3 Honey) which makes it acceptably at par with KC's 1/30 scale

Just my POV...but I hope it's KC

It is in the new "DESERT WARS" flyer from King and Country. Got Bill Sager's website and you can see it in the 2007 Brochures Section of K&C.

The Panzer IV - Austf. E - is pictured several times there and so is a picture of Italian Tanks.

I believe that Andy has to come out with some Armor for the 8th Army .... or history is going to be rewritten. :eek:
