Which aircraft you would like TGM to make in 2014. Choose one of the 8 planes proposed as your favourite.
TGM will take your choice into account
my favourite is the Bell

I would like to see the Zero done, preferably in the earlier war Type 11 or 21, in their gray color schemes. No WW2 aircraft collection can be complete without the classic lines of this ever so graceful and iconic airplane. I wouldn't rule out buying a later war version from the airbase at Rabaul but I wouldn't be interested in a late war kamikaze version. -- Al

Hawker Tempest,Gloster Meteor ,Spitfire Mk14 as they were all used against the V1 flying bombs

Some more support for the Bell please. It was the main US fighter when the US entered WWII, it was also used by the Soviets ( not one single other fighter scored more victories than the Bell Airacobra in Russian service) It was also used by the Free French, The Royal Air Force and the Co-belligrant Italian Forces ( Italian troops in the South of Italy that fought with the allies towards the end of the war)

Well it will come as no surprise what I voted because Spitfires are in the blood over here, BUT having said that , all the others are very interesting and I would love to see a Zero or a Fairy Battle.

Also can't wait to see TGM's WW1 Aircraft:salute::

Sorry Guy but, that aircraft would be so low down my list it would not even be on!!! TG will have to try and make appealing aircraft but, sadly based upon what collectors know. Not lumping everyone together but, this hobby has seen the narrow release of things Wittmann Tiger... Wittmann Tiger with a scratch... Wittmann Tiger without scratch you get the meaning so, the Spitfire, Zero (now they have started addressing the pacific), Mustang and Sturmovik/Yak most anything German will do well and then we have to address what they will be made of.

Its fine to do wooden aircraft but, for me the production amounts are to low good for TG but, not so good for the TG collectors as 10 or 20 is not enough. I know its fine for me to say do resin/polystone etc but, make the aircraft like that and your on a winner with say 50/70 maybe more. The TG FW 190 is still the best looking /made warbird released in this hobby. Aircraft are good but there is the space issue with them but, my own preferences are not on their so, I ticked the salamander.

The P-61 is a neat aircraft but it is also a very big aircraft. It is nearly equal in size to the Mitchell B-25. -- Al

Think more people would. Be interested in the p61

Guy is this your short list or TG ?

If I'm to pick only one in that list, by all means it will be the Heinkel 162 Salamander! The Zero would come in 2nd and the Mig or Yak in 3rd.

This short list is the result of a little brain storm exercise between TG and myself . Further on the list were : The Gloster Meteor, The French Dewoitine D520 and Caudron C714,The Lightning, the Corsair, the Gruman,The Curtis P40 just to name a few.The big question is can one or more of these planes be made of a material other than wood, resin for example, so that a bigger number can be produced

Good question

Is the question or, should it not be, what TG considers viable for the collector market? TG are now established in the TS world but, can they experiment with some of the less well known aircraft in the list and others mentioned.

The mediums used has been sorted and, we know that TG can make aircraft in non wood mediums as the FW 190 has shown. Figarti have shown that using other materials than polystone mean you are able to make larger aircraft so, this should not be an issue in terms of a technical exercise for TG.

The question next is what limit number should a run be? I would venture a German aircraft would possibly have a better chance being a higher run than say a French aircraft and similarly a brit aircraft like the Spit would sell better than a Russian model.

There are a number of aircraft I would like made but, I bet they would not be good sellers even at a limit of ten wooden ones

The poll is already (although they really mean nothing) is showing a shift towards certain countries aircraft like I mention. I suppose TG could play it safe and do the Wittmann spitfire they once mentioned a sure fire winner!!!

As a dealer with not much knowledge about aircraft my thoughts are :

Japanese Zero - Iconic. If have a couple of figures more interesting. 2nd choice.
Russian WWII Mig or Yak - Not as "commercial" as a Zero
Supermarine Spitfire - I know aircraft enthusiasts will get upset but Spitfires been done. Having said that I don't know the difference between 1 - 9 or all the types.
Junkers 87 Stuka - been done by Figarti and two other brands dropped their plans. Not easy to do. Shipping problems. Pass.
Korean War Mig 17 - Not called the forgotten war for nothing. Surely a Sabre would be more popular ?
Bell Airacobra - simply not on my radar.
Heinkel 162 Salamander - German. Slightly smaller than Zero which is a plus for shipping. Some TG figures can already go with it. 1st choice.
Fairey Battle - again not on my radar.

Unfortunately my vote accidentally went to the Fairey Battle {sm2}.

I voted for the Fairey Battle. It saw some action during the Battle for France, albeit unsuccessfully. However, I always thought it was a rather interesting aircraft even though it suffered 50% losses during the Battle and was eventually withdrawn.
