For those who don't think the B 25 will sell, you should have seen the reaction in Chicago; this thing will be gone quickly. It may not interest those on the other side of the pond, but it will draw interest here.

I, too, would love a Buffalo; such a cool looking plane.

That a fair comment Brad but the end of the day will Figarti sell one hundreds B25 that the question !? Would be in interested to know how many Clive taking ^&confuse

IMO, what Al state's above is pretty obvious. This is particularly true if model airplanes from TS-makers are viewed primarily as a kind of prop or scenery for dioramas. With that as the criteria, manufactures associ with the ETO simply dwarf the handful of items available for other fronts/theaters in WW2. If you lump the MTO and ETO together, the disparities are even more dramatic. Will collectors really not buy a Russian P-39 for want of a swastika on it's tail? Nah, I don't see that as a legitimate obstacle to the model being a success. As I once posted to another venue, "One guy's comfort zone is another guy's cage."

To be honest do you think one hundred Russian P-39 would sell ?it alright saying I want this and that but these company are here to make a return in what they make and that the reason your see more ETO stuff than PTO ,maybe making a P40 would be a better idea as it saw action in must theatre instead of just one ? Like Mitch has said planes take up a lot of room and there not cheap to buy so you got to make the right one

Interesting discussion.

However this is a gem of a line from Jack :salute::

Or are tank guys and plane guys like ships that pass in the night?

What i like about TGM is the unusual,go out on a limb approach,so what ever it is it will be unique, who said they where making 100 ?
Or where we getting side tracked with other companies numbers..........^&confuse

Wayne, the discussion was about Figarti's production runs of 100 and whether or not they could sell that many B-25's because of or despite perceived limited appeal. The 100 number was being generally applied to other aircraft, as well, as to whether any given plane would be popular enough to warrant production. -- Al

Northrop P-61 Black Widow,anybody?{eek3}

ABSOLUTELY........wicked aircraft

All of the planes on the list are crappy

Also after getting into the Doolittle story a bit more as of late.......i love my B25

Wayne...

Your right and the Natter is just one item that shows this. Mind, when they go sort of run of the mill they produce a cracking aircraft which, is still for me the FW 190 was the best aircraft made in the hobby in terms of build detail and paint style. for me it sits with HB armour in my estimation.

Mitch,

Have you ever considered a request for additional production of the Fw-190, perhaps modified to a -6 or -8, one that's configured for attacking bombers?

I think it would be easier to make a new FW than try to adapt the A4 that was released. I am happy with the FW's I have both in original paint and the ones I repainted so, it would be nice for different aircraft but, in that style and quality and medium is what I hope for.

Okay, I've got you on your reasoning. Seeing as how it's such a nice model, though, I was thinking that it'd be nice to have a version based on a more historically significant aircraft. One of the wurgers that Priller flew would be nice in that regard.
