Greetings
Did Airfix make their Foreign Legion
figures in 32nd scale ?
Thanks

I,m about 100% sure they did not.
I really liked Airfix figures but in reality they were 1-35th scale.
Gary

Gary is correct, they 1000% did not make them in the larger scale, all the good stuff goes to us ho/oo scale collectors.......:wink2:

I wonder how sales would have gone on their Ancients, Revolutionary War, Civil War, Napoleonic cavalry and artillery, FFL and WWI sets had they done them in the larger scale.

I always wondered why Airfix never made 24th foot and zulus, WWII US infantry, WWII winter Americans and Germans among others..........

I always wondered why they didn't make a US halftrack - that German one is superb!

Still a great range of FFL troops out there in 54mm Conte, AIP ,Timpo, Britains detail and maybe a few others that were done?

I have recently acquired quite a few Conte figures.
The Oliver and Reamsa figures look good.

Well, wasn't there one done in a plastic kit? It don't think it was poseable

Airfix made most of their figures in two scales HO/00 and 1/32 (54mm). The HO/OO range had figures ranging from 18mm (every early outputs) to under 25mm.
Their 1/32 scale figures comprise soft polythene figure sets, multipose kits and collector series.

The French Foreign Legionaire was issued in the collector series.

They went broke ...........

I am awaiting the release of SAS 1/32 figures proposed for late 2013. I also want the WWII Italian Infantry particularly as they depict the European uniforms.

These are now available again, but were ever only 1/35th at best. Not sure if the mold for the Italians is still around - it will be interesting to see if it surfaces, along with the other 'later' period figures.

I for one would love to see some more 1/32 FFL figures, perhaps an upsizing of the old Esci set.
