After all the current news from Egypt here is how they dealt with Looters and “Incendiary” in Alexandria in 1882

Very interesting and nicely done Martyn . . . . . I certainly understand protesting in the name of democracy and freedom. Looting on the other hand is certainly anti-productive to the democracy movement. It is interesting that a great number of civilians are now protecting neighborhoods and property from the looting element - good for them.

Deja Vu! History does repeat itself.

In the last few days I have thought about your collection and how relevant it is to current events in Egypt so thank you for going into action and bringing this to life. If you could might you post your scene in color without the comic book effect. What set is the Egyptian woman from?

As an art historian it has been painful to see the Egyptian Museum under attack and thanks to those Egyptian citizens for trying to protect it from looters.

Many thanks Randy

The Egyptian/Arab woman is from Trophy set# EQ43 - THE FIELD KITCHEN

I'm sorry I can't get the pictures any bigger but I'm having a problem with Photobucket

Those are great.

How does she fit in with the field kitchen? A great idea.
Trophy certainly covered all the right subjects especially wonderful non-combat scenes. I wish today's makers were that comprehensive but in today's economy that have to make what sells in multiples and that's either fighting or marching.

Hi Randy

I’m glad you liked the pictures and thanks for the question.

Trophy made “Field Kitchen” sets for the AZW and E&TS campaigns
EQ31 was for the Anglo Zulu War and EQ43 was for the Egypt and The Sudan campaign. The main difference between the sets was the female figure, for the AZW set she was a local native girl and for Egypt and The Sudan she was a local Arab woman. The Egypt and The Sudan also had a goat stealing the “spuds” that were being peeled.

In the AZW scenario the soldier in the red jacket drinking and the soldier carring wood are from set#TD2 – REVEILLE. The newspaper reporter with the E&TS kitchen has been added by me and not part of the original set

Thanks Martyn

Those are great sets. Do you think Little Legion will ever do something like these for the Sudan?
